Pitching matchup SD: RHP Clay Hensley (4-4, 4.15 ERA) Despite pitching just 3 2/3 innings in his last start, Hensley pitched 40 innings over his six starts in May. VS FLA: LHP Scott Olsen (4-3, 5.60 ERA) Olsen has gone deeper into games over his last two starts than he has been able to most of the season, going seven and 6 2/3, respectively. If the pattern for Clay Hensley continues in June as it did in May, the right-hander is due for a good start on Saturday against the Marlins. For whatever reason, Hensley was lights-out about every other start in May, but struggled in almost every other start. He allowed a total of three runs over four starts in May, but in two others, had outings where he gave up four and six, respectively. In his last start before Saturday, Hensley allowed four runs over 3 2/3 innings, walking seven at Milwaukee. He will face Scott Olsen, a 22-year-old who struggled in the middle of May, but seems to have straightened out recently, winning two straight decisions. The Padres have only lost once in four chances against the Marlins this season. Player to watch Adrian Gonzalez continued his hot streak on Friday, extending his hitting streak to 17 games with a double.
