Get to know Norv

With RR back in the fold and given free rein over the defense we may have reached the top of the Lombardi mountain. Norv shouldn't have to worry about the defense this upcoming season and can unleash the offense to terrorize the NFL.

This was the comment made attached to the post. I don't think this should have anything to do with what kind of coach he is. As a coach for the Chargers he has done some good things but not enough.

I also found it interesting but it has nothing to do with my opinion of him as the Chargers coach.

I'm sure he's a good person (as opposed to coach).

Why would you not assume that he's a good person?

This thread had NOTHING to do with the type of coach he is, but who he is and where he came from.

But like "Clockwork" a post was made trying to turn it into another thread question his coaching ability. It wasn't you that brought it into this thread, it was our resident Norv stalker.

He is Pavlovian when it comes to Norv.

Charger Fact:

Norv Turner has a reputation as a quarterback guru. Alex Smith of the 49ers is the latest, and posibly best example. Prior to Norv's arrival, Smith had a QB rating of of 40.8 in 2005. With Turner as offensive coordinator in 2006, Smith has the biggest increase for a second year QB in NFL history (34 point increase to 74.8). In 2007, without Norv, Smith reverted to a 57.2 rating.
