Keep me out of your fantasies. I don't care about your personal life choices, I won't ask, but you don't have to advertise it either.:bolt:

Go back and read what Conc posted. It only said Norv has had a reputation as a quarterback guru. NOWHERE did it say Norv was our OC or QB coach, so I'm not sure why you got all worked up and responded that way.

Oh, come on. You expect him to actually read the **** he is responding to? Haven't you figured out that it does not matter to him?

    No s***, Dick Tracy.

All I'm saying is "who cares?" We know he's had success as QB coach and OC but that doesn't help our situation.

You're right. It doesn't matter to me what his success was else where as an assistant coach. He's our HC and he's a proven loser!

    Get with the times!

But you didn't say that. You seemed to be calling Conc out on something he wasn't saying. Of course, most of us have no idea what you are actually responding to, as you don't seem to read what people actually say.

Oh no, I don't expect him to actually be able to follow what other people say, he has demonstrated time and time again that his reading comprehension is abysmal. I was just calling him on it.

This can go on and on forever.

And it all comes back to, maybe Norv should just stick to what he's good at...QB's.

      Let's see...

YOU want to keep going back to Norv's PAST record with other teams years ago, and ignore the fact that he has taken his CURRENT team to the playoffs the past two seasons and won games there. Yet others need to "get with the times."

Yeah. Pay attention to how this season went. We would have been toast in any other division.

And if I lived on Mercury my skin would melt and I'd be dead.

Just what the f*ck is your point?

The Chargers play in the AFC West. It doesn't matter one f*cking bit what would happen to them in some other division because they don't play in that division.

Quit playing your stupid "what if" games and live in the here and now.

If we can't excel in a weak *** division, it's going to be awfully hard to compete with the best. That's my point. Shouldn't have been so hard to understand.

With that said, why are we talking about what a good OC and QB coach Norv is?

Yup. If he came here as OC or QB coach, it would have gotten my approval.

One coach a year brings home a Lombardi. So Norv is not alone in not doing "enough". Those that didn't make include guys who make good decisions about players and schemes and game management all the time. Some of these coaches brought teams close from out of no where. LT will be healthy and he better be around as far as I am concerned and Merriman will be healthy. There is always a certain amount of luck in getting the Lombardi. AJ is giving Norv another shot, and I don't object to that.

Actually that does make a bit of a difference. The bolts were beneficiaries of a collosal Bronco choke. Sure they beat the teams in our division but that's really not too hard to do. We could barely beat a team that was clearly overhyped in the Colts (a team we match up well with anyway) but when faced against a tougher defensive team the Chargers could not make the adjustments on offense to pull out the win.

I'm not saying it's solely Norv's fault. I like the fact that this team is not afraid to play in the playoffs under him, but I would appreciate shorter pass patterns when he knows that the heat is going to come.

At the end of the day only one team wins it all. I look at the Cardinals and smile. Since I live in AZ and it's the closest thing to having the Bolts make it to the superbowl as it's going to get this year. But I look at how they turned it on the way they did and it's something the Chargers can learn from. They are playing with fire, they don't just play to be competitive in the playoffs, they play to win big. I mean the only game that was close was the Philly game and that was a blowout up until the 3rd quarter. The bolts have the talent to pull this off they just have to do it.

Well that's because of the lack of pressure the bolts provided. I don't care who the bolts have back there they will get torched if Ben has time to throw. I mean we can argue that the bolts have some of the best receivers, tight end, running back and quarterback in the league but they weren't able to do squat out there. Why? Because Pittsburgh was in River's face all day. It had nothing to do with their safeteys or corners. Rivers missed Jackson a couple of times because he'd been hit a lot. That's how pressure changes the game.

I can guarantee you that if Warner has time to set up and throw in the pocket that the Cardinals will win the game. If the Cards can't pick up the blitz then I see Palomalu being the Superbowl MVP.

B4L did the "if we were in another division" thing, the above was my response.

Again, it does not make a bit of difference what "would have" happened if we were in any other division. The NFL does not award playoff spots based on what would happen if you were in different divisions. We are in the AFC West, we have to finish higher than all other teams in the AFC West to guarantee a playoff spot. Some years, our division sucks, some years it is a b*tch.
