Conc's impression of Mini Camp 5/5/07 Boo-hoo. Drag your lethargic *** out to the minicamps and give your impressions then. Until then take a heapin helpin of STFU! BTW, I fixed your post for you.
Erik Robertson I am a big fan of a guard who is nimble and not a plodder. Olivea is a plodder. Goff is worse. That dude moves like a Clydesdale horse. Our O-line backups are not noteworthy. Some will say give them time as they are developing. I am done waiting. No mas. Chispas boy has a shot but as a guard or backup guard but he has to deliver some serious heat but most know this fact. Our O-Line needs help and if were up to me, I would be replacing the whole right side as soon as possible.
Erik Robertson Once again Trump, you're being ridiculous. Goff is widely recognized as a very good pulling guard. He might not be the biggest or the strongest guy, but he does move well and does a good job at engaging linebackers. When it comes to the O-line, you're like the crotchety old phocker that just needs something to complain about. You'll never be happy.
Erik Robertson Goff sucks at engaging 25% of the time he pulls to the strongside he gets called for holding because he whiffs on a block on either a linebacker or cornerback and then tries to compensate by doing something illegal instead of just letting the play go on and looking like an idiot. I won't argue about his pulling ability but he cannot finish, which means his blocking in motion basically sucks.
Erik Robertson This is Trumpet Man's ideal candidate for right guard Do the rules say that a football player must be human? Just shove that thing on the field inbetween Hardwick and Olivea and it will do a better job than Goff.
Erik Robertson Please tell me the football guru who said Goff is a very good pulling guard? After he is found and the crowd is done laughing, he needs to be put to bed. The reason we do not run as many screens with the weapons we have is because of the limitations of the right side of the line to pull at all. It is a joke. It is not even funny it is such a glaring weakness. Freaking Social Security is nearing and has passed some while waiting for a line which is worthy. Maybe you just like mediocre lines ? The lines are what wins us the Lombardi and until the lines are right, it is just another handjob with sandpaper. I get tired of all the one and done in the playoffs.
Conc's impression of Mini Camp 5/5/07 You mean like how you and Mel "like my $400 blowdry?" Kiper jocklick every Trojan cumming out of USC? :icon_tease:
Conc's impression of Mini Camp 5/5/07 Where does Leisure live? I thought it was in the SD area. If so, how come he has never showed up at minicamp, training camp, or a tailgater? :icon_shrug:
Erik Robertson I don't disagree, but I'm dealing with what's available. If the Illustrated Man is ready, play him. I like the guy for the position. U/T is enamored of Olivea's new training regimen, so we'll see. I once suggested to some trainers that offensive and defensive lineman include ballet (specifically plastique) in their training routines. Centered body movement, balance and flexibility is the goal, although the entire program would be of benefit, especially in overall conditioning. LT works off of a hemispherical surface. Does some of the same things, but lineman need more work than an LT or Reggie Bush on body control.
