http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...portedly-set-to-part-ways-with-james-harrison If we keep the 3-4, I have no problem substituting SP for James Harrison. Thoughts?
Some of the well known members on this forum will have no part of a "Dirty, cheating player" no matter how many Lombardi rings he has. Is he singed yet Dean????
Unfortunately you guys are right lol.. I don't expect it to be a signing but it should be considered. Man Jarret Johnson, James Harrison and Melvin Ingram, all viscous hitting OLB's. Then you add Barnes and a young OLB that can be acquired in the draft, we could have one hell of a OLB corps. I know he will be 35 when the season starts, but he will be cheaper than SP, and more effective.
Hmmm...not sure about this from an age and price tag standpoint. From a meanness standpoint, hell yes.
I'd like to have Harrison & Johnson are our primary LBs and rotate Ingram and Barnes heavily. Think Harrison would be a great mentor and he's not at that age of completely breaking down.
Let's see, old LB who will command a huge price tag in spite of declining performance, which is the reason for his release by Pittsburgh. Joey Porter, anyone?
Ingram would benefit from learning how to take the opposing QB out instead of letting him get back up and continue the game. Kill the QB, you win the game.
