... Dude. It's Kobe's fault the Lakers haven't won 5 championships over the past decade. Because of him, they only have 4!
... Good point. Kobe had nothing to do with those championships. Much like Jordan in his day, Shaq was playing 1 on 5 while everyone else was cheering in the stands.
... I Know :lol::lol: Kobe just sat on the bench the whole time and sometimes suited up for the other team :lol::lol:
... He definitely contributed to those teams. Just like Robert Horry, Rick Fox, Derek Fisher, etc. My point is that Shaq was the main focal point of those teams. The offense ran through him, which made everyones job that much easier. Kobe also contributed to the the Lakers 7 year dry spell. Look I don't like the guy, never have and probably never will. But I do recognize his basketball skills and give him credit for leading the Lakers to a championship this year. But let's not make him out to be some saint that was a great guy ever since he came into the league. There are reasons why his is disliked by some players and fans. If his cleaned up image and maturity has made you a supporter of his, then great.
... Kobe was just as much a part of those championships as Shaq was. It was the Shaq/Kobe show, not the Shaq show. Kobe also had help this year with Trevor Ariza and Lamar Odom. (to name a few) Name me one star with an NBA ring who didn't have help winning it. Even Michael Jordan had Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman. There's a reason they call it a team sport, and to diminish Kobe's part in the first 3 championships because he had Shaq as a teammate, while trying to insinuate that he is personally responsible for them not winning the championship for 6 (not 7) years in a row isn't exactly recognizing his basketball skills. It's trying to negate them.
... And, by the way, it is pretty nice rooting for a team in which making the playoffs 5 out of 6 years, to include a trip to the Finals in one of those years, is considered a "dry spell".
Ok guys, that's enough Kobe talk from me this off season. But I'll leave you guys with this last piece that was sent to me. Funny stuff. http://www.theonion.com/content/news/kobe_bryant_proves_he_can_win?utm_source=facebook_1
