Eh, what does he know? It's not like Tebow played against Hester or won the Heisman or anything...... :icon_tease:
Welcome to the board! I have a few relatives down in Lafayette and Houma. My little bro has season tix to the LSU games as well. So I will be sure to ask him about Hester. From the games I have see of Hester, he is a beast. Nothing flashy about the guy, he just gets it done. :football: And if okra is being served, I like mine fried.
Fried it is, otherwise it becomes snot with eyes. :icon_eek: Thanks for the welcome folks. Lived in San Diego for the past 8 years and love the weather but the boudin prices are bout just enough to kill a fella. Nootch and I are not real pro ball folk but we are never die Tiger fans. Hester in San Diego is a bit of bliss so therefore you got yourself some purple bolt fans. I am easy to spot in town. I am the one of 15 people running round in LSU gear. You still have your boat tied to the porch?
you got that right. Now I just have to figure out how I'm gonna get that far west to watch a game. that's a LONG way to paddle a pirogue nah, it's in the garage with the motor took apart. got some problems going with it right now.
...He lasted because he's not flashy and didn't burn up the combine. You can't measure heart though. Wes Welker wasn't even drafted and look at him. The Bolt organization seems enamored with guys like this. They originally signed Wes Welker as an UDFA, insisted on Tim Dwight in the Vick trade and now Hester! I still have video on tape of Tim Dwight drive blocking a Patriot DB 5 yards into the endzone as he's lead blocking for LT on a long run. It's priceless!
If Hester can earn a name like Wardaddy with his play here, I'll be sending AJ a bottle of his favorite refreshment!
Popped a few tops over him already! This was contributed on our board today and found it worth a share. Can't wait to frame a photo of his first TD!
:icon_huh: That's a weird looking football. It looks like someone Photoshopped the National Championship trophy (which is a glass egg/football) in it's place.
I hope Hester bread a little confidence in the Charger faithful. He looked real good and the ****-*** connection could not be any more proud. He has some work to do, but you can count on him getting it done. I look for great things to come but his first run in the lights from the Q look like the promise he was sought for. Give him a yard and he will take three. Geaux Hester.
Hester did good. He & Thomas (& Tolbert) looked OK between the tackles. Sproles does better in space - but what a second gear that kid has!!! Pinnock may be on the way out. I see Tolbert at FB w/Hester as his b/u. Otherwise, Hester is BURBBC - along w/Sproles & Thomas.
I agree Tolbert looked like he will take the spot based on tonights performance but nobody should worry much if Tolbert takes an injury. Lot of heat in that backfield. Stacked pretty deep.
Word. I'm not jumping to any conclusions after 1 preseason game. But Tolbert wowed me a couple times....
Me too, I don't have a white uni with the new colors, I'm getting Hester. War Daddy is going to be another GREAT AJ pick!
I read my drunken post from last night. I didn't mean to say Hester would be Tolbert's b/u. But I do think Pinnock is probably out & Tolbert in.
needless to say tolbert looks like another A.j. super find in the udfa ranks. Hester and he look like they will finally fill a sledghammer role we've needed for years to get those short tough yards. Thomas did well as well.
I'm reserving any proclamations of awesomeness for when he's facing full speed/full power NFL starters in a game that matters.
Thanks Slug, it sounds like using "War Daddy" will NOT offend the same contingent that is offended by the "Warrior" term. I'll stop using it, then. :icon_rofl:
