After I broke my leg and ankle, it took me about 5 Months where I could walk without a limp. Now 6 of those weeks I was still in the cast. So at work, I was walking with a limp. I stayed off the top of Airplanes for about my first 6 weeks back to work. So I basically stayed on the bottom, and I cleared all the paperwork. So with that, it was 3 Months before I was able to go up and down steps 20 times a day and navigate around all the openings on top of the jets.. Now it was almost a year before I could run without a limp. So being an Umpire I stayed of the 90 foot bases, and stayed on the Little league, and Pony League fields. They are 60 and 75 foot bases. And what I mean by that is the distance between each base.
But you should continue to wear the brace in court - pity card? Whatever works! That is sure better news than what you were anticipating and for that I am glad. :icon_toast:
I agree. Also, create a story (the truth usually works  ) on the reason for your gimp. When I had jury duty this past week, one attorney had a little bit of a cracked voice. He told of cheering on his son's high school football team (and his daughter performing in the half time band) and later used a football fan analogy to get his point across. It's a good tactic to get the jury, or potential jury to relate to you and your client. Conversely, one defense attorney lady was dressed very homely and had a mousey voice and personality. I doubt her appearance and the way she carried herself helped her client in the mind of the potential jury. Humor and relating to a jury on a human level, have merits, IMO.
What is a 'normal' person and just what kind of surgery did they perform on poor wittle Chispa to make her one?
Now that's good news!! Just be sure to get plenty of foot and ankle massages :lol:Just think, you'll be ready in time for the OCS of Cal:lol: Oh... and repeat after me, "NO HIGH HEELS!" :icon_tease:
These boots are made for walking, and that's just what they'll do one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you.
:icon_eek:I shan't say what I saw upon first seeing this post:no::icon_redface: However... upon further review those things could lead to your Achilles tightening back up and going "snap" again :beat: Please use that great brain of yours and don't do something out of stubborness that leads to reinjury, ok?
Hope the rehab is going well, Chippie. Uggs and Flip Flops for one year and you should be back to your're old self.
Chispa I am very happy to hear that everything healed up ok and you back to "normal"? hehe :icon_tease: I myself just got out of that boot device, I have planter fasciitis and wore one for a month. It is nowhere near what you wnet through but still sucks. Hope to see you at a game next season!
Chispa, sorry for the late response, I've been kind of "hit or miss" on here lately, (sicko grandkids). CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! -=dave=- (Now go fix some chili! )...
