The forum is S-L-O-W to load this morning. Sometimes it's timing out. I hope it's the connection and not the new features. Anyone else having a problem?
It may be our server being over loaded. I have another server ready to move the site to, but Ive been waiting because it'll take substancial downtown when the forum is moved. I'll probably have to do it sometime soon though.
Thump, I'm coming at ya via Cox - as of last Friday started seeing quite a few timeouts trying to connect. No problemo, I just click again and as often as not it will then speedily load a workable page. I should mention when I come into the opening page, "topnflfansites.com" is taking an extraordinarily long time to let the page finish loading. So, finally gonna get off the old Pentium 386? (runs like heck!):icon_toast:
lol, there's no such thing as a "Pentium 386". Yes, I'm getting some of those issues too. The topsites thing I have no control over except to take it off the site. I may do that if they continue to have problems. The new features added to the server load. We will need to change servers soon and it's my top priority. Need to work out a few things first though so it'll go as smooth as possible and have the least ammount of down time possible. I'll keep you updated when I have more info.
Just to back up what Dave said about the "topnflfansites.com" issue, it sometimes never loads. When it doesn't load, that causes the count down to Chargers-Seahawks clock to display all 000's.
Yes, I know about this issue. The loading of the top100fansites should eventually timeout, then the counter should start working. If not, refreshing the page should work. If they continue to be a problem, I'll stop participating with these topsites. I think it's cool to see how we stack up against other sites though.
