I'm not against removing a guy like him but there's no clear plan of action regarding Libya; what are we doing, what is the goal, whats our timeframe, who's with us, etc. Iraq you at least knew those things, you might not agree with any of it but Bush was very blunt in what was going on. Libya I feel like we get a nice bowl of mush

Really? Your boy McCain met with with Ghadhafi in 2009. In fact he tweeted "Late evening with Col. Qadhafi at his "ranch" in Libya – interesting meeting with an interesting man." Then on March 29th, McCain says Ghadhafi has to go. Even so far as to say the US should "overthrow him by force".

I'm pretty sure Ant said nothing about McCain in his post.

    You're absolutely right.

My point (which should have been made clearer) is that the conservatives, which Ant has been known to support, have said "we have to DO something". Well, Obama DID something. Now the Conservatives are saying that Obama isn't doing enough. This goes back to McCain, who is the top Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, who also met with Ghadhafi back in 2009 and now says he needs to be "overthrown by force". Amazing how that happens, wouldn't you say?

What you say is absolutley true. How is that any different that how the deocrats respond to what republicans do? remember when Obama was promissing to pull out of Iraq while running for President. It did not happen right away did it? That is American Politics. Be it Demicans or Republicrats. It is all the same, amazing how that happens, wouldnt you say?

Switch the words, it is the same regardless. You Liberals dont like conservatives and take opportunities to express it. You conservative dont like Liberalss and take opportunities to express it. There is never a thought to not being hypocritical.

Yeah we were improving relations with Libya after 2005 when after invading Iraq and capturing Hussein, Ghadhafi ran to the Brits, turned over most of his WMDs and expressed interest in improving relations so he wouldn't end up like Hussein. Things were actually improving with him, yes even though he's a complete lunatic but he was cooperating with us, until the uprising in his country. To note your quote, not to defend McCain, you can definitely think he's an interesting SOB but still needs to go. Then again slaughtering tons of your own people has a tendency to cause people to think less of you and more that you need to be popped. If you look at Republicans there's a very wide range of opinions on what to do ranging from McCain to Rand Paul (not Ron Paul). I'm probably more towards Rand Paul wondering whats the point in being there.

Most conservatives have a long list of leaders who should get popped for the benefit of humanity but we can't take them all out and fight with the whole world. With this particular situation, even after Obama's big speech there's no logic to what we are doing. First it was a no fly zone, then we are using air-to-ground power to take out their army and bombing Gadaffi's compounds. We aren't using ground troops but we're preparing a marine battalion to go to Libya from Camp Lejuene (apologies for butchering that). Gadaffi must go but we won't use force and we somehow are willing to let him stay too. The rebels must fight their own battles, but now we are their air force and are now arming them even though we have no real idea who the hell these rebels are made of (and there's evidence to suggest alot of Al Qaeda members are joining).

I'd like some clarification if this is to continue
