A few people know me around here, that I have a gameday persona of "Lightning" not just a board name. I even was in the 06 yearbook for the fanpics page in the back. I was going to make a new gameday outfit this season due to wear ands tear on the old one but now with the new unis, the way the organization handled the treatment of longterm season ticket holders in the obstructed veiw and a few more personal issues, I am giving serious thought to letting "Lighting" go by the wayside. I am a working class joe who when I started doing this REALLY got a kick out of being "that guy" since for the most part in my life I have always been just one of the crowd. I have to say that I am really not feeling it...at least as of now....and that I may just relent to being just another fan this year. ....any thoughts?

I think you're in the wrong place if your lookin for sympathy!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: But..... imo - do what you have to to represent Boltheads with pride.
Sorry, didn't meant to come off as looking for sympathy or arrogantly.... The only reason I brought up being known around here is that there are a few people that have tailgateted with me that post here and others that I met in Frisco last season...not out if expecting people to know who I am. and I really did just want to know if anyone had an opinion being that it was something that I really felt strongly about, I have done my absolute best to be the "twelveth man" at the games for the past 8 years not so much out of ego but when I started, no one was into the games and it really bugged me to have the stadium feel like an away game. If you guys feel I'm whining...so be it ...but if I do continue with my gameday persona, I invite you all over to my tailgate to prove that I mean what I say and it was not meant out of "drama"
Bro, I think the people who would be most affected by it are those that sit in your section. If you are thinking of not doing it see what they think, or don't do it one game and see if anyone asks about it and misses it. Ultimately the person you do it for is hopefully you. However you chose to represent our Bolts just always do it with pride. :icon_toast: Lash Out

Tell those knuckleheads to kiss your ***. Dude - You took pride in what you did at Bolts games. If you want to keep it up, then go for it. You'll figure out what's best.
i don't really think that makes you anymore a fan than any true follower, but if youre just letting the "persona" go, just do it you don't need a popular opinion for that. i mean youre basically asking everyone what they think of you not painting your face right?
Lightning you already said it best when you said. "Life is pain, anyone who says differently is selling something" if you can keep doing it then go 4 it. but if you cant than it was fun while it lasted
Hey Lightning, I think it would be cool if you created a new "persona" that incorporates the new uniforms in some way. But I can understand if you just want to be a "regular" fan this season. PS. You still come off as whiny and self-important. :icon_rofl:
haha no shyt, no offense lightning but your making it sound like the super chicken retired or some shyt. i like the war paint, never seen it till this past season, youre a good fan, but don't forget youre not on the payroll.:icon_rofl:
