Why do you care? You said you weren't renewing your season tickets anyway.

    Oh, and before I forget:

If the Worlds people had common sense ie; (discretion) we wouldn't be killing each other and the Chargers would have won the Superbowl long before now.

The thread starter should be flamed. So should the idiot on 1360, goodbye ello, and the guys at the UT should be ashamed of themselves for piling on...

In the '06 playoff against new england that 14-2 season, LT was the guy that we felt badly for us fans and for him that Marty and Cam didn't call more plays in the second half of that game. If he got more carries then, that could have made the difference and the Chargers might have already had their Super Bowl riding the MVP that season.

Injuries happen. True, LT could not contribute in a win or go home game the last two years. But can you predict WHEN an injury is going to happen? The Chargers will make the postseason again next season. (Book it.) Can you really answer that it is likely that LT is going to be hurt again when the postseason comes next season? HOW DO YOU REALLY F'ING KNOW?

Don't anyone mention Shaun Alexander. Any idiot who brings up Alexander uses this kind of logic, "I once bought a used car. It broke down, therefore I will not ever buy another used car." What happened to Shaun WILL NOT happen to LT.

I am tired about hearing how there were 3 pro bowlers on the O-line blocking for LT this season. What three pro bowlers? Dielmann was the only pro bowler this season.
Did everyone also forget that the Chargers let go of not only the best fullback ever in Lo Neal, but also the starting fullback in last year's AFC game, Andrew Pinnock, BEFORE the season started?

How many of you thought during the season that LT just needed one more block to spring a huge run? What if he took more of a beating because he couldn't get that one more block? You think he would've come out of the season better if he didn't have to take so many hits at the line of scrimmage?

While you ponder that, keep in mind, that Philip is looking really good because the other teams still lined up 8 or 9 in the box to STOP LT. IT WAS PRIORITY ONE by all D-coordinators who set up game plans against the Bolts.

Not to take away from Rivers, but you can bet that having LT makes life easier for him. 8 or 9 in the box means single coverage or zone against Gates or VJ or Chambers.

Before you say Darren Sproles can "ABLY" replace LT, this was a guy who survived the final cut LAST SEASON because he excelled at returning kickoffs. I am not knocking Darren, because his heart is bigger than his stature, but his stature is not built to be an every down back.

It is a new trend to have two top tier backs play in the same team, and that may need to happen in San Diego to save wear and tear on LT, but don't cut him. Especially after what this franchise has done to Junior Seau, Rodney Harrison, and Lorenzo Neal among others...

IMO, any who agrees with the thread starter does not understand or care or appreciate what this guy has done for this team and what he can STILL DO...

Screw the poll, THERE IS ONLY ONE ANSWER. Employee #21 for the Chargers will play next season. :flag:
God Bless America! And God Bless LaDanian Tomlinson!

I think we all just saw what happens when the Chargers have to rely on Darren Sproles and Michael Bennett for their running game.

As well on relying on Clary at right tackle who should be moved to Right Guard, Mike Goff who is the incumbent right guard (not likely to return), and a less than 100% Nick Hardwick. Only Dielmann lived up to his billing as a top flight lineman.
Add to that no real fullback. The best option really was Manumaleuna although Hester did pick it up towards the end. Maybe more seasoning on Hester will pay dividends next season.
But does anyone really think that Sproles can replace LT? Please.... And I LOVE Darren Sproles. I'm just being a realist.
Sure he started in the Big 12, but that is NOT the NFL.

One more note. The score dictated that the Chargers go away from the running game, so I don't blame Sproles for his lack of yardage, but didn't the game on Sunday feel like the season where the running game just didn't play that large a role in ANY of the Chargers LOSSES?

He ran for >1,000 yards and 11 TDs, caught 52 passes for 426 yards with a TD (1,536 all purpose yards, 12 TDs all together) all while playing injured.

Of course, had he not played you would have called him a *****.
