This is a football forum and here I am reading about race. I'm sick and tired of this crap! At this point in this country. Forget about 40 years ago because bringing it up over and over only makes the history fresh again. I have news.....TIMES HAVE CHANGED!!!! This country is filled with every race, creed, color, smell and flavor and we all live under the same roof. If any one thinks that this United States belongs to or is siding with any one race.....then that is only the projection you have when you walk out your door and greet your fellow Americans with that crap in YOUR head. See people for what and who they are. People are stupid, people are smart, people are bigots, people are loving, people are cheap, people are generous, people are ugly, people are pretty, people are easily convinced, people are manipulative, people drive bad, people drive me nutz..........

Eh. It became less about race and more about semantics as the conversation went on.

It's not nitpicking. A little more and a lot more mean completely different things.

I'm perfectly aware they mean two different things. I was aware of this when I made the post. While being aware of that while making the post I was also aware of the fact that it was/is a lot more prevalent in the South than elsewhere. I live here and have lived in Cali. I know.

Again, you're completely missing the context of the argument being made and therefore are nitpicking.

I was purposely understating it to make a point.

That the South is hardly the only place racism has or does happen.

It's a futile point that I wanted to drop a long time ago, though, because I realized I, myself, was nitpicking and overlooking a point when I made that post. But it got dragged out because of our part of the convo.

Okay, now that we've solved the media laziness, whackjob tweeters & racism angles of this...

I feel it my duty to go where none thus far has:

    "...my mom..."

    WTFunk?!?

Since when did heckling athletes include openly wishing for a slow, painful diseased death for parental units?!?

Okay, yeah, I'll admit, Tricia Mathews has dropped a meatloaf or two,
and her brittle clavicles are kind of an inside joke in Fresno...but still...MOM?!?

But it WAS the racism that went on in the south that got televised that caused the change. You can try to deny history and the terrible **** that went on in this nation, primarily in the south, but that doesn't change the facts that the south still to this day has more racism, segregation, and out right bigotry than any other place in the nation. Hiding your head in the sand is not going to fix it

Oh OK, I may have inadvertently twitted his Mum to see if she was available for "a spot of tea" on my next visit over ......

    So that's a crime these days ????

Lancelot !!!!! .......how is her "dropping a meatloaf or two" any different than any other woman on Earth ???

Hmmmmmm, maybe I've misdiagnosed the term "meatloaf" in this instance ????? :cautious:

So in order to make your point, you deliberately distorted the truth by understating the level of racism in the South. At least you're admitting it. That's exactly why I replied to the post, because I thought you were distorting the truth in order to make your point.

So, let me get this straight. You purposely dragged this conversation out after I had already stated I wanted to move on because I realized I misunderstood the intent of the post so you can nitpick a debate tactic that you knew was done on purpose?

Umm, no. You deliberately distorted the facts to make a point. I pointed that out and you called it "nitpicking." Pointing out that you are deliberately distorting the truth aka lying is not "nitpicking." Next time try to make your point honestly.

Call it what you may, say I was right or wrong to use the tactic, you still dragged the conversation out to harp on the tactic purposely playing coy pretending like you didn't realize it was a debate tactic AFTER I had posted that I wanted to move on because I realized I was nitpicking and taking an argument out of context myself.

Depending on how I feel about people on a given day, I'd have to say that God didn't make humankind in His own image; He did it so that skunks won't think they've gotten the raw end of the deal!

Just saw this post, your conversion appears to be correct for converting Coronas to German beers.

I don't know why any mature adult would attack Rygina and his mother in such a way. The kid has tons of talent and very well could be in the "Elite" group if he can stay on the field. Like I've said before, he reminds me of Chunk Muncie and with that wide open style of play fumbles happen, deal with it but let him play.

I (HIGHLY) doubt Mr. Muncie would be insulted as the kid has talent and Muncies don't grow on trees. Pop another top my friend but get some real BEER!!!!!!. If it takes lime to cut the taste, send her to the doctor!!!!
