<em>Mini Camp wrapped up with a fifth and final workout over three days at Chargers Park, but to veteran wide receiver Keenan McCardell, it was more important how Mini Camp began on Friday than how it finished on Sunday.

"We came in with a mindset that 12-4 last year is behind us," McCardell said following Sunday's workout before another estimated turnout of 3,000 fans. "We've got a target on us, and we got back to work on the fundamentals and the little things that made us 12-4. We know if we want to go 12-4 again, we've got to play a lot better than what made us 12-4 last year."</em>

It's great to see the veterans and rookies out there focused on the exciting season ahead. It's too bad that Merriman did not participate. Let's just hope that it doesn't slow his development too much. Now let's sign these kids and get ready for training camp!
