Been away for a while and...bam...5 million e-mails from Bolttalk. I am honored to be on your friend's list for those who invited me. :icon_toast: As for banning a person who persists in being annoying, let me know and we can arrange a DOS for them......:icon_rofl:. Just kidding. I save that for really bad people.
That's just how the system works. Nobody but you or a mod/admin can see them if you delete them, but if you want the physically deleted from the database, let me or one of the mods know and we'll be happy to do it. btw - I hard deleted the ones you had deleted for you.
When I log out it is automatically logging me in by itself...:icon_huh: For work I need to be able to log out and stay logged out. Also I sometimes like to lurk logged out.
I tried to log out and like both Kimmie and Chippie I can not log out at all. It keeps me logged in. I am not being a smart butt or anything but for me I wanted the messages to be in my Profile because I wanted to see how all the colors looked with the general color scheme I chose.
I found I can only log out if I clear cookies which I don't always want to do...:icon_huh: and would rather not have to do it every time. Otherwise the forum looks and runs great!
Here's the answer I got from vBulletin about your and Chispa's problem. I can reproduce the problem, but only when I use Internet Explorer. I'll be doing some testing and let you know what I find out.
It's doing it in Firefox also. I will get to the bottom of this soon, just don't think I have a chance to do it tonight. But, this is at the top of my priority list to fix. Thaks for letting me know.
Chispa, I have an open support thread in the vbulletin support forums about this, but I think I discovered the problem. This was happening for me in both Internet Explorer and Firefox. I completely cleared my cookies for each one, one at a time, and they both work now. I think I know why this happened. I started a dedicated thread here: http://www.bolttalk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=13247 I will post it as soon as I'm finished writing it up all the details and instruction on how to properly delete your cookies.
I know! At work I don't even want anyone knowing of the very existence of KimPossible and would deny deny deny if ever caught!
Well now, aren't you just a daring little temptress? :icon_eek: Don't be ashamed of who you are, or aren't. Remember, beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes clear to the bone. Thank goodness there are only beautiful chicks at BT. This is based on youse guy's personality cause I have never seen any of you.
We are all cute and I have seen the girls!! :flag: But seriously :icon_eek: The workplace and forum do not mix. I think Chispa would agree with me on this. :icon_eek:
Ok, got the deleted part...now, is there a way to not receive profile messages from anyone on my ignore list?? I find it to be annoying that I hafta jump thru hoops to delete messages from posters that I don't wanna hear from in the first place.
Let me look into this. Right now if someone on your ignore list leaves a message, it shows up to you as "This message is hidden because USER_NAME is on your ignore list." I think there may be a way that only friends can leave you a message. Let me check.
OK, BFISA. I have an answer for you and for anyone else that wants to do this. Go to your User CP. From there, select Edit Options. Once on this screen find the Messaging & Notification section. Within this section there is an area titled Visitor Messaging. In that area check the check box for Limit usage of Visitor Messages to Contacts and Moderators. Scroll to the bottom and save. I already made the change for you in your profile BFISA. User CP -> Edit Options -> Limit usage of Visitor Messages to Contacts and Moderators
