No, they are not the worst team in the league. If they lose to the Chefs and Brownies, then we'll talk

I still don't think they're as bad as the Browns, Chiefs, Raiders, or Jags.

Talent wise I agree with you, but I think all those teams have more spine then we do.

Chargers are in the 50 percentile. Not that it means anything on Sunday (or Monday).

We're going to finish with an 8-8 record unless Rivers is injured. Seriously, if you're a Charger fan, you need to be praying that he gets injured on the first play after the bye with a quality 9-10 week injury and that we go 3-13 to finish the season. Being a .500 team is murderous in the NFL.

I am a Chargers fan. You seem to have logged into the wrong forum.

'Football' fans in UK and Ireland begin chanting 'we're sh1t and we know we are, we're sh1t and we know we are........' at times like this. I kinda feel like bursting into song!.

Not sure we're the worst team in the NFL but we sure as hell suck when things start to go against us. Norv is completely inferior to his opposite man in those situations hence why we cannot finish teams/get our act together when required mid game.

I still say fire him now, and make Bisaccia HC. He would bring some fire and accountability immediately. He might even bench Clary FFS. Provided Gaither can go, insert Harris at RT, he can be no worse than #66 and should be an improvement.

There's a difference. They want Cassel to suffer a career-ending injury so that he'll be replaced. I want Rivers to suffer a mild injury to keep him from playing the last 10 weeks so that we'll lose out and so that he won't suffer a career-ending injury behind our inept line, see the difference?

Because our talent kept it out of reach. We were never tested. There seems to always be a team (in any sport) who play well enough to win, seem to have more talented players, etc.. and then that talented team plays a team that is clearly not as talented but plays with heart and conviction and stomps the other team. We're that team. We can win, but when our backs get pushed up against a wall, we fold.

I agree with that, but the same can be said for a few other teams in the NFL when it comes to NO and P.Manning comebacks.

Ah, okay..got it. You want someone to suffer an injury for 3 months (mild, of course) so that
he won't suffer an injury that will end his career. Then you want us to draft a player to take his
place.(or did you want us to lose out to draft o-linemen?) It's mostly clear now.
BTW, we've seen that a torn ACL will not keep Rivers out for even 1 week. You'll likely need to
hope he suffers at least 2 torn ACL's and maybe a broken elbow on his throwing arm...oh and
a cracked rib, just to be sure.

I posted the kind of injury that would be ideal, a broken clavicle, or a break in his non-throwing arm. I don't want us to draft a player to take his place at all. I want us to get the highest possible pick and do what STL did this year, trading back to accumulate a plethora of picks and rebuild our O-line so that next year Rivers has a chance to throw from this crazy thing called a pocket that hasn't been seen in San Diego since 2009.
