Hopefully he's thought it through. If he can still play, the Bolts are better with him then without him. Guess that will put the Alex Mack talk to rest (not sure how probable that was though). Bolts probably shouldn't count on Hardwick past this year though.

I wonder if this will have an effect on keeping Clary.

If Hardwick retired, could see the FO keeping Clary, can't see that now.

Still need to be on the look out for his replacement but I'm happy he's coming back.

Still, it's better to draft a future replacement now.

Well... especially since his contract only has one more year on it. The team loves Nick, but if they are able to groom a successor in a single season, I wouldn't be surprised to see them not in any huge hurry to sign him to another deal in 2015 if they're comfortable with the next guy up.

Issue right now is that the guy who would be the next one up is also a free agent. I don't know if he makes it to us in the 2nd round, but I want Joel Bitonio. Reminds me so much of a rawer version of Andy Levitre. Dude can play any position on the line but his long-term strength is likely at one of the three interior positions.

You better find someone this year to take over for Hardwick next year, and fast!

Must say I'm surprised at this news but happy with it. Hardwick is truly a rock in this team but like many have said we need to identify and get his replacement asap. Also, like others have said it should mean no Alex Mack as Hardwick wants to play and we can't pay the 2 of em.

Damn!... all that hard work and lobbying done by Thomas Keiser in Brazil not required.

    (just kidding)

He signed a futures contract with the Eagles.
He will be the back up to Don Henley. :)

Yeah Saturdays game was unreal. The intensity and passion on display was a joy to behold. As you might imagine an Irishman getting a chance to have a go at/hit (in the platonic sense) an Englishman on the field of play is something they relish. Rugby can be a great game to watch at times, but it really comes to life when you have the old rivals meeting ala Ire v Eng or anybody v Eng for that matter ha ha ha. NZ v Oz and Sth Africa too.

Nothing like a good old rivalry as long as it stays on the field of play. I'm neither of English or Irish decent but I'd go green every time in that one!!!!!
