Carr Signs One Year Deal The Chargers made it official Tuesday. Veteran cornerback Chris Carr has signed a one-year contract with the team, it announced. Carr is expected to serve as the fourth cornerback Sunday when the Chargers face the Saints. The transaction will be processed Wednesday. When it is, the team must submit a corresponding move to open a spot for Carr on the 53-man roster. Cornerback Shareece Wright, out with a high ankle sprain, is expected to miss at least one more game. He entered the season as the top slot corner but was injured Sept. 10 on the opening kickoff. Marcus Gilchrist was worked in the slot in his place. Carr has 27 starts in 105 career games, playing for the Raiders, Titans and Ravens over seven seasons. He most recently spent training camp with the Vikings. The 29-year-old has 189 career tackles, 2.5 sacks and six interceptions.
