No knob polishing from McLellan at cbssports
He's gonna be in the same doghouse as Paris if he keeps that up.

He conveniently ignores the fact that on that INT, Floyd was being held by the defender. It should've been pass interference and given the Chargers the 1st down. The refs sucked balls last night...... not to sugarcoat it too much.

Well ****, there was also the offensive PI on Gates and the holding on Hardwick that were bogus calls.
Nonetheless, the Bolts would still have had to score from the 24 to get it into OT.
You let the opponents run off 17, you invite some criticism of the coaching. And the fact is that this team has trouble coming back against opponents in the 4th quarter.

I'm with you that 'chaos in the last minute' was due to the refs. Well for the most part. That crap about the player has to tell us if they're hurt is...crap.

That's easy to say, but when too potential scoring drives are ****** by the refs, how many extra chances do you think the Bolts had? The Saints had drives in the 2nd half as well, you know. ;)

Holy ****. **** the Chargers loss. This is really devastating. Can you at least do a good job in support of #1?

Two? C'mon. The non-calls on potential PIs are fine, they just have to go both ways.
One drive was scuttled by the refs and it's unclear whether the Chargers would have gotten it into OT if the refs had called the game perfectly.

Sorry, but Floyd was getting mugged...... his arm was pinned to his side. We're not talking about borderline calls, we're talking about hysterical blindness. ;)

Did Brees, Saints have help from refs?

Chargers get good news on injury front

Jared Gaither could barely finish the Chargers' game Sunday night.

He may be ready to start their next. <--?????

The left tackle suffered a strained groin on the third to last play of the game against the Saints, coach Norv Turner said Monday. Gaither is dealing with soreness, but there is no tear.

"We'll see where he is as we go through the week," Turner said. "He has a chance to be able to practice and play."

That injury optimism extended beyond Gaither.

Defensive ends Corey Liuget (knee) and Vaughn Martin (stinger) were the others with ailments the Chargers reported after their 31-24 loss in New Orleans.

"We have a practice on Wednesday," Turner said. "Our real game week starts on Thursday. I would expect to have them. I thought Corey was outstanding in the game again. He had an outstanding game last week."
Cornerback Shareece Wright (ankle) said after Sunday's game he expects to return to practice this week.

Wide receiver Vincent Brown (ankle) is eligible to return to practice next week. His first game action can come Nov. 1 against the Chiefs.

 I'll believe it when I see it. :cautious::rolleyes:

The Chargers are more at fault here than the refs. Not sure we'll see any different from the Chargers this Monday. Hopefully they get a decent ref crew though.

Wright is missed, that's for sure. The sooner he's able to take over Cason's spot, the better.

I find it more than slightly ironic, that a person who swears the Chargers were robbed of a victory by one bad Hochuli call, is claiming that multiple bad calls against the Chargers (including several on their final drive) had nothing to do with the outcome.

Nice reasoning: You looking for a job in the tobacco industry?

If the Chargers had been awarded that fumble in Denver, they would have won. That's 100%.
If the refs had called a perfect game in NO, it's not 100% certain the Chargers would have won.
Why is that so difficult to understand?

I'll support the Alpha NN ;) Alas, this team has left me with no more energy or the desire to NN them day in and day out during the season. They don't need me; they are pretty good at NN'ing on their own!

Ringo is spot on this one Blew Balls :D There is really no comparison between the two Ref jobs. In the Hochuli debacle the Chargers had the lead and the game would have been over if he had not botched that call. The Donkos still had to go ahead and score and to Shanni's credit, I think that he went for a 2 point conversion to beat the Dolts fair and square. I'll bet my beloved wiener that Norf would not have had the cojones to do that, even if the Chargers were to score a TD, which I honestly think that they would not have been able to, Ref's assisting the Saints or what not!

        Does it pay well? ;)

And no, it's not that different. The Chargers still had to allow a TD and a 2 point conversion...... essentially two TD plays. That was a single ******, though a big one.

The Chargers were jobbed multiple times on that last drive...... any one of them not called could've at least gotten them to overtime. I don't see that big a difference, sorry.
