So Jack, one of the things I hate about the Bolts on MNF is the waiting... My mind starts looking for something to keep it occupied. What positions would you like to see us draft in what order in 2013 at this point, (yeah - yeah, subject to change as the season wears on)? Right now I'm thinking CB/OT/OLB - (That last one looking at TOG being in his contract year). Speaking of contract years - Cason is having one of the iest contract years I could imagine....
Awwwww .... poor JoePa. Dirtbag. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf...aterno-media-161628186--ncaaf.html#more-20635
Cason can be somebody else's problem next season. What scares me is just how bad AJ has been drafting CB's...... Wright and Gilchrist may break that cycle (cross your fingers). TOG is still a very good player, even if he's not worth top dollar going forward. I wonder how badly he wants $ over staying with the only team he's known. O-line is a priority, and not just tackle. Do we really envision another undersized center taking over for Nick?
I'm separating us from the Chargers brass in that "we" question. Give me a center who can handle a 3-4 NT...... the type of defense we see more often than not.
Damn--Yankees v Tigers and LSU v SC at same time tonight. Two good games. Nice rally by LSU. Also nice rally by Yankees but fell short. Still a good game though. Yankees need to put some runs across the plate earlier if they are going to stand a chance. Left bases loaded with no runs in THREE innings? That ain't gonna do it.
Evening Gents, well, just spent most of the weekend catching up with some old faces at a 35th High School reunion ........my gawddddd, where did all those years go ? Some of the faces I could very easily have gone another 35 years + without seeing, lets just say the years haven't been overly kind and leave it at that........ Good time though and ended up having a Sunday brunch that has turned into an All-dayer practically..........think I was the only one out of about 100 or so that doesn't have kid story's to talk about, so that was rather interesting.......far more than not are either single or divorced it seems also.........though I think I'll quite happily stick with the Deev thank you, those 50 something's just don't have the same appeal as the 30 something's.......
Well, the time issue doesn't obviously affect me down here Dave, so that's a no brainer. Oh for sure a CB or even 2 is a must find for season, I'd personally like to see us go after a good FA as well as pick one high in the draft mate, you gotta have some type of experience back there, just a tough ask of a rook to come in and really play well in against the caliber of WR's out there these days. OLine issue never seems to change with us......we've all be saying it for years now that game is won or lost on the LOS, but for whatever reason AJ and Co. don't hold the same philosophies as us ........if there is a top line OG, OT or Center available with our no.1 next season, we may have to take the chance and use it on one, Rivers isn't getting anymore agile as he ages I'm afraid to say. Can never have enough rushing LB in my books, so for sure see what's available in that department, or even DE again, most of the types coming out of College these days are "Hybrid types" it seems anyway and they can adjust to playing with their hands down or from an upright position, so I'm good with either. If TOG wants big money, I'd say he's gone ........ Look, it's obvious I'm not a huge fan of the guy, just doesn't play hard enough EVERY week for my liking, but he certainly has been serviceable over the years, I'll say that for him. But no way I'd pay him huge bucks, he isn't a match winner type and never will be.
First one ever for me too Blew.......was pleasantly surprised at how good a time was had to be honest, it makes for some interesting listening to hear what peeps have been up to in their lives and of course the stories from the Ol' school days just get bigger and better as the years pass......we were all much BETTER than originally thought it seems.
Would love to see Wright push hard for a starting spot for obvious reasons .........there's certainly one there if he's hungry enough, lets hope he is. Gilchrist could also prove to be OK, I honestly didn't think he played that badly last week, just put into a no-win situation of guarding a guy like Colston, who in that type of form will beat almost any CB in the league. Height, agility and great hands will prevail almost 100% of the time on balls thrown to the EZ these days.
Exactly.......we getting pushed aside far to easily on the DLine more often than not.........time for that to change and the second coming of a JWall thank you, will do very nicely.
Have you called ahead and warned them of your impending arrival ?????? That really would be the correct thing to do PUMP.
In other words, it's been a long fargin' time. If you could transplant Jeter's brian into Arod's body, you might stand a chance.
