Right. With you on the logic. Jeter's been with the Yankees almost 20 years. From the early 80s to the early 90s when Jeter wasn't with them, they won no Series. Therefore they can't win without Jeter. Really it's his leadership and fielding skills they'll miss. The more pertinent factors to the series though are batting and pitching. The Yankees pitching is good enough. Their batting needs to get back on track. It can without Jeter. Nix isn't as good as Jeter at the plate or in the field, but he's not a big falloff either. Course they're baseball players, so they'll probably think this is some sort of mojo gone awry, fold and start drinking beer during the game in the locker room.

Any QB can have a terrible day and be intercepted. That game, along with the Eagles and Cards, kind of messed with my "take the home team this week" theory eh? 26-3 over the niners, who'da thunk it? Kolb took another 5 sacks for the Cards O-line before finally having to give up - Skelton looked good coming off the bench until that INT in overtime that cost them the win, (well, that and a missed field goal for the win by their kicker on their previous possession).
