Hmmmm......... sounds like the classic non-denial denial to me. ;)

Gorilla Gold, an Idaho-based company, makes the product. It features a wax-based tackifying element designed to improve a player's grip without residue rubbing off onto a ball.

Patrick Dugan, president of Gorilla Gold, would not say, as other sources have, that Manning has used his towel on the football field at times over his career.

Some football players are known to have come across the product via other sports, such as golf or tennis.

“We believe that Peyton Manning has been introduced to the product," Dugan said. "...We know that we have shipped specifically to certain elite quarterbacks in the league. I don't want to name names, but we know that we have, and we know the names are household, and we know they've played in the biggest games that are to be played.”

Fox said his team doesn't use the towels and that he was unaware they existed until they were brought to his attention during last month's game.

Asked if Manning said anything to him after the towels got banned, Fox was toweled out.

"I think we've addressed the towels," Fox said. "I haven't given the towels a second thought. All I know is the league says you can't use them, so we don't."

Well seeing as they WERE LEGAL up until about 2 weeks ago, it sounded like EVERY team in the league used them......

This entire story was the biggest NON-story in the NFL for years, but it sure as hell has been "GOLD" for Gorilla I bet.

Guys are STILL wearing "sticky-gloves", right ? ...............as I said before, I just don't get it.

I *DO* hope while you are maxing out the "catch" that you are keeping your crab gauge handy to show off if asked to see it. Dang fish & game types are serial with some far larger fines now days, (in the name of revenue). <sigh>

Well gee BLEW, excuse me by all means.

It's a contact sport isn't it, so what, now you want me to feel sorry for the guy because he doesn't know how to properly protect himself accordingly ??? ....... For starters, BOTH players made the decision to "lead with their heads/helmets", how many times have I said over the years that the sooner they get rid of those fargin helmets, the safer the game will be ? .......as long as you allow these guys to wear a piece of equipment that gives them the false sense of security that the head is sufficently protected to use it as a battering ram, then this issue will always be a major problem........not my problem that they can't adjust or totally understand that they are risking long term brain injuries from playing that way and if they need others to tell them that, then sobeit.

Say HI to St Lou for me mate ......

Funny you should bring up St Lou by the way .......

Just got a link to the local paper last night from a mate who I use to work wit at the Zoo.

Apparently TWO people have either quit or been fired for speaking to the local media in regards to their "attempted poisoning" by others Zoo employees !!!! :eek

Word is, someone put engine oil in their coffee......... Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah.

Because it is against Zoo rules for any employee to speak to the media on anything Zoo related, one of them was fired, the other quit in fear of her life !!!!!

Sounds like things are pretty much the "same ol', same 'ol" at that joint ...........and who said it was the animals that needed to be locked away ????..... Love it.

Wonder who has the task of rubbing that spot on a daily basis ??????

Should be AJ, after paying out that huge extension for a guy with his past injury history.

Give it to Battle occasionally in the 2nd half.

Of course you don't have anything good to say about OL, which makes it all the more mind-boggling that you give the OL a pass when it comes to Rivers.

"We need to get after him," said Barnes, who practiced Thursday for the first time in nearly two weeks. "Not be close like what happened last time. ... It's just beating the guy in front of you. Win the one-on-one (matchups)."

It's what I've been saying all along. You can't always send extra blitzers, our OLBs have to be able to beat their guy once in awhile.
