* Correct Sir !!! ** Wouldnt be unhappy with that selection in the least..... a good smack in the gob could be just what Fillup needs to get himself focused again Dave ....
Just watched Acee's video chat with Annie....... rife with contradictions, as usual. He says the Chargers are pretty much decided it's either Raye or Telesco, even though they haven't even interviewed Gamble yet. Acee also says they don't want a retread HC, that's why they had no interest in Reid or Holmgren..... no old guys (with questionable stamina) who're looking for a last shot. He then said that Arians was the favorite, even though he's 60 and just had a health scare. Kevin also said that he expects a decision on the GM job as soon as tomorrow (presumably after the gamble interview).
For some reason, LT's are the most coveted lineman, but the shortest route to the QB is straight up the middle. If you collapse the pocket from inside, the QB has no chance...... especially an immobile QB like Rivers.
...not to mention having no pocket to step up into because it is already full of your center's bohind when he IS blocking someone one-on-one. <spit> Give Rivers a pocket to step into instead of tossing INTs off of his back foot falling backwards and he will be fine. Until that happens we will see more of the same IMHO.
Your absolutely spot-on ...... get a Center who can push forward, create a pocket for the QB to step up into and Bob's your Uncle ...... Well, at least a relative of some kind !!!
It would be like having Dielman in the center, instead of the left side. We know he made McNeill look competent for quite awhile. Imagine what a dominant center could do to bring balance to our line. Both guard positions should be better with a road grader in the middle.
Thats exactly why Ill just wait until its "official" ..................Ill leave the speculation to those that need it too command a paycheck and look stooopid in the process, not that that seems a problem in these times, the dumber the better seems the motto of the Media industry these days.
YEP.....................always said that Dielman made those around him much better players than they actually were, the fact Marshmellow couldn't maintain his Rookie level play is testament to that theory, if there was any doubt. TOG is the exact same situation..................if he is surrounded by "better players", he can look OK because other teams don't focus in on him, but when he is called upon to be the Main Man !!!!! ....forget it, he's simply NOT that good.
You will remember, last year I wanted David DeCastro (guard) - this year my dream sheet is that 'Bammy fatboy at center. Instead, David went to Pittsburgh and got hurt in August/re-activated from IR Nov 26th... That is a fatboy whose career I WILL be following as time goes on... (Assuming I'm still around). I'm not unhappy that we had Melvin fall to us, and he should pay a lot of dividends before its all over, but damnit we needed fatboys and now need them worse than we have in one very long time. <spit>
Well you know how flustered he gets around her, what do you expect ? Was "the chair" anywhere in the background ????
If we even want to have a semblance of a running game, then we need big bodies upfront. Technique only gets you so far, you need size and strength to impose your will on the opposition.
No, I'm hearing you ...... We've needed FATBOYS FOR YEARS NOW !!!! Maybe now that Ol Silvertop has departed, hopefully someone in this organization is smart enough to realize it along with us fans. ?????
Oh those little devils ........ She does have "perky ones", doesn't she !!!! P.s ......off to watch the video....later Gator !!!!
What's with the "red undershirt" ???? Most disappointing ..... Give the twins some breathing space I say !!!!
Is Harbaugh beginning to remind anyone of Rex?........... Harbaugh says Kaepernick has “savant-like” understanding of playoff prep
Well, for those fans who were sure that our O-line problems and QB fumbles etc. were because the head coach didn't yell hysterically enough, good news! Mike Singletary is back in the potential HC binder!
I read that article over on the NFL page earlier this morning ....................quite a laugh !! All I could picture was Dustin Hoffman in Rainman !!! Not sure how that relates to Football though, unless he was giving the odds on the Over/Under ???
I thought Harbaugh was a bit of a jerk when he was still coaching at USD...... nothing he's said, or done since, has improved my opinion.
Now thats funny his name should finally come up ............. I was thinking back to Black Monday and how his name was oddly missing from nearly ALL reports by teams looking for a new HC. Thought for certain his name would at least be thrown into the mix...................somewhere !!!! Where is his name coming up Lancelot ?
He can come across as a bit of a "right-jerkoff" at times, can't he !!! A little "smug" may be a better term ?
Funny, but he's complaining about reality...... all the named candidates have issues: http://boltbeat.com/2013/01/07/you-wont-like-the-san-diego-chargers-new-head-coach/
Someone else who finds Acee's reportage of the GM hunt to be confusing at best...... http://www.boltsfromtheblue.com/2013/1/7/3846714/updates-on-the-san-diego-chargers-gm-search
