Lance, I've tried to tell folks many times: If you are hard of hearing, not real good at lip reading but have a vivid imagination - you can have one hell of a good time. (Of course, if you possess an old sailor's dirty mind - it can go over the top sometimes). Good find and duly STOLEN!
Well, Dean wasn't kidding when he was talking about how full Telesco & McCoy's plates are at present. They have to immediately work on putting together the rest of the coaching staff for 2013, especially that O/C, make the East/West Shrine Game this weekend and the Senior Bowl next weekend, and start getting ready for the upcoming draft - among 1000 other little items. (Forget setting up households and getting wives/families settled in). OBTW, hope we see mention of a Pagano sighting wearing a cap with a lighting bolt at the Senior Bowl - that would speak volumes.
NationalFootballPost @FootballPost Report: Eagles land Chip Kelly: Oregon coach changes mind, jumps to NFL http://bit.ly/X7Prpv Don Banks @DonBanks Is this the reverse of Nick Saban not leaving Miami for Alabama denial? Trying to remember a similar turn of events in recent NFL history. (I was thinking something similar to Don Banks comment and then Marty Caswell took the words right out of my mind)... Marty Caswell @MartyCaswell Does this mean Bruce Arians isn't going to interview with the Eagles? Wow...what a crazy turn of events
Going to be real strange if Bruce Arians winds up going to the AZ Cardinals - apparently they requested permission for an interview with him late yesterday evening.
I guess Nike must be going broke then ? Just cant have these types that say one thing, then do the exact opposite, absolute attention-seekers who just love the spotlight ............... what are the odds he ends up doing "A Petrino" !!!!
UTKevinAcee @UTKevinAcee “@nfldraftscout: Every HC hired so far has offensive background. Reid, Marrone, Chudzinski, McCoy & Trestman.” > Offense wins championships! And now, Chip Kelly.
Yep, he's in that group also, just didn't mention him because he was already mentioned in one of those tweets Dave. Look, let's be honest here, some guys are "career College coaches" and that's it !!!!! ......some will be able to make the transition also and deal with the totally different scene that is Pro and College. I believe College is more about "teaching" than Pro's ........ In my mind, if you haven't learnt the game by the time your 22/23, then your pushing shite up hill, whereas in the Pro's, it's more about building team chemistry for success. Ofcourse, there's always a little give and take in that process and success at the lower level, certainly doesn't guarantee the same at the next, as many players can attest too.
The perfect example BLEW ..... They have had some excellent College QBs, but as Pros, they totally sucked the Big One. So, your saying we probably should draft Barkley as a backup in case Fillup sucks again !!!!
Pump, you're really starting to worry me ........ Are we gonna need to explain every post in GREEN when we are being a little sarcastic or what ??? If these diets and workouts and NO Zin are gonna effect you to that point, I say just go back to 3 Cray and 3 bottles of whatever a day, it's not worth it.
Jimmy Raye, have we found Jimmy Raye ??? Oooops, my bad, gotta drop that now don't I ...... OK, what's up with AJ ??? ........ Any interviews for the Ol Boy yet ???? Hell, if the Jets don't call him, at least he's knows its time for that hammock on a beach in Hawaii. I better check my answering machine, I may well have gotten a call by now.
It's scary when I agree with you! You know pizza and Zin sounds really good! Sent from my Mobile Zin finder!
Ayup - time to switch over to who is our DC - OC - and just as important, Special Teams Coach? Going to be an interesting week or two as MM puts together his coaching staff - after those "prime" decisions have been made, it would be a very good time for the team to also look at the medical staff, and conditioning staff. If changes are to be made there - this next month is the time to do so, unless they want to defer until after the draft... (which is what, only 98 days or so away?) As a fan, my main concern will be to see if McCoy and Pags are a match. Hope John got rid of the "pigpen" look after the season. <sigh> Love the guy, but "scruffy" is not the way to do a job interview.
Don't forget the pepperoni! Setting here hoping that Stanford offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton is on McCoy's short list for O/C. <sigh> (He has to hurry up and put together his staff so Jacko and the rest of us can talk about where he went wrong).
I am going to just sit back and wait for some games to be played! A year late but I finally got what I wanted from the Bolts. I do hope the JP stays as DC, I like the younger fresh guys to work with Johnny boy down the road! If I get a job with some good $ I'll would even like to pick up some seats! Sent from my Mobile Zin finder!
I don't ask a lot about how the search is going, but pumpy you know I'm hoping you to find a great match with a couple wheelbarrows full of $.
CD Thanks for that! I am very selective on what I apply to, at my age its a last shot to make some good money! Went to West Marine to look at fish finders and the one I like is $2300 This could change how my job search continues ............... Just had the resume redone the lady could really add in the BS!
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Former Cardinals HC Ken Whisenhunt will become offensive coordinator for the San Diego Chargers.
Wonder if Russ Grim might follow? You just never know... ~~~ Speaking of the O-Line, I keep forgetting - we do have a young fatboy named Johnnie Troutman I keep forgetting about. Can't wait to see what he's got now that he has had a full year to recover from that torn pec/surgery... Could turn out to be one hell of an investment if he can unseat Green as starting OLG.
How could you forget him? Johnnie Troutman @J_Trout63 Fake friends are like shadows in your life, always near at brightest moments but nowhere to be seen at darkest hours.
At times like these, I need a pizza. Damn you, Pump. Anyway, I'm actually very excited to see what's to come for the Chargers. I assume they're keeping the same DC?
Pags, being under contract, was less important to set down with than getting in the O/C they wanted I would imagine. Won't be surprised if they offer our D/C an extended new contract as part of keeping him. Of course, all of that is supposition on my part.
