I know Jack wasn't impressed, but for a 1st time DC, I thought Pags did a decent job overall. If it takes 3 years to evaluated a player, I think it takes more than one to decide if a guy can become a quality coordinator or not. Manusky had experience, and he was much worse. A lot of our break downs were player f'ups, rather than a matter of calling the wrong defense.
I really didn't see that much improvement in our D overall to be honest, we still lack penetration ability and passing pressure and although the blitzing seemed a little more often, not sure it had the desired effect all that often on opposing teams. We need personal first and foremost, hopefully Ingram can improve on what he showed his rookie year and Butler can keep improving, but the front 3 need to get more push at the LOS for our LB and safety's to have the influence we'd like to see. Don't care who the DC is, but as long as we have the likes of Jam and Cason as our last line of defense, there are going to be problems, that area needs a massive overhaul NOW........I'd still move Jam to safety and see what he can bring, what's to lose ? A lot will depend of who stays and who goes ofcourse, fair chance we lose at least 4. starters from last years team and there aren't to many of our backups that have shown they are ready to step in......so either the FA market must be scoured hard or a top draft pick spent on finding a quality guy to start ..... Time to cut the likes of English, Mouton etc, just don't cut it and never will, tying up a roster unnecessarily has been a trait of this franchise for far to long and needs to change, said it before, 3 years to show you belong or on your horse. I have no worries if Pags is retained, but I do want to see a different attitude on the defensive side of the ball, maybe he was under strict Norf instructions to play a certain way ?, well now that has all changed so show us what YOU can do.
WOW, what a shocker this is .................... no one ever saw this coming I bet !!!! Not a second to soon , in fact, about a million of them to fargin' late. How'd you like the chances in life this bastard has been afforded ? Now do the world a favour and throw away the key.
The best thing about Telesco, is that he's not tied to any of our previous picks, so he can be more ruthless in pruning the dead branches. No misplaced sentimentality in hoping a lifeless twig will miraculously spring to life.
anyone here seriously take this guy for his word ??? I wouldn't trust this bloke as far as I could throw him .................. I sense this as nothing but a ploy to try and stay cool with Charger fans for when he takes the money and runs .................... I'll even bookmark it for future reference I think. I take this to mean the guy is as good as gone .......... which would mean !!!!! The bathtub's are finally empty (though Cason and English have obviously moved their saggy little arses into a vacancy) Well, just as I stated at the time this pic was born ..........................these clowns couldn't/wouldn't win us a damn thing and as sure as shite stinks, it has prevailed. Anyone seen/heard from Koop by the way ?.... did he make anyone's roster this past year ?......................I kinda miss the Lost in Space robot man.
Don't ask Jack for an endorsement........ Shaun Phillips @ShaunPhillips95 If charger fans want me back. Ill do whatever is in my power to stay is that a deal.
Just curious. I've been out of the loop for a while, I've been focusing on weightlifting a lot, plus school starts in less than two weeks (which I'm honestly very happy about). I like the hire of Whisenhunt as OC; it's something he's good at. McCoy I have yet to give an opinion of, primarily because I really don't like Denver so I don't bother thinking of them (at all). However, Peyton seemed to do well under him, so he must be alright. But we have yet to see if he can hold up as a HC.
McCoy sounds good so far, but we won't know anything until we play some games. Having an experienced HC at his side is a good thing in my view.
I'm actually very glad that the Chargers signed someone who has a chance to present himself as a head coach for the first time rather than grab someone who is looking for a second (or third, or fourth, or fifth...) chance. I was begging the Chargers to not sign Andy Reid, and although they gave no indication of it, I was worried we were going to head down a crappy path again.
YEP, rid the team of the obvious "clingers", that have showed "their best" and if we need them for depth, fine, if not, Bye Bye !!! They'll need time ofcourse for that to happen, this stinker of a roster isn't something that can be turned around overnight, (as Norf said) so I don't see any reason to expect to see much success next season.
Have I been wrong about this guy BLEW ? I have no problem letting him walk, TALK is his main weapon of choice unfortunately.
Has he moved there permanently ??? I'm guessing the Hookah on the table is probably just for "show", right ?
Thank You William Wordsworth .......................one is never to old to learn, I shall try my best.
