The crowd of reporters around the fargin 8th place finisher, however, kind of proves Jack's point on Patrick... <spit>
Oh really !!!! Why's that ??? If you aren't born in a Redneck neighbourhood, you supposedly can't be a Hoon and do donuts ????
Well....... I guess it looked like a good idea at the time ??????? "Teens burned as stunt-bike jump goes wrong at Findon Skid Kids" http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/na...findon-skid-kids/story-fndo471r-1226584566973
Can't say her teammates did her any favors in the race though. She might not be a winner yet, but top 10 is still a respectable finish out of a field of 43.
Little do they know, that the Cajon Speedway where he got his start, is as close to redneck as San Diego gets.
Has been my point all along Dave ...... I'm still yet to figure out why she gets all the attention she does ........ Even moreso after watching that last lap I might add. Seems to me it's all about "perception" rather than actually winning anything. I'm all for her getting her just rewards in what is obviously a male-dominated Sport........... But for Christ sake, earn it just like anybody has too is all Im asking.
Ahhhhhh, so he's a San Diego boy !!!!! Well good for him, at least that gives the City something to be proud of at least.
But isn't it about having the "fastest car" or have I got this totally wrong ??? Still don't understand why she didn't at least take a chance on that final half lap and head for the inside like Earnhardt did, she may not have won, but could have at least got a placing finish. I only heard a little of the after-race interview and it sounded like she said she was worried about getting "slammed" if she'd gone inside !!! Well dohhhhhh, isn't winning a Daytona 500 worth that risk for all the Glory it would bring ???
All I watched was the last few laps of the Daytona 500 - then after a few minutes switched back NCIS reruns - that's how interested I am in listening to the Mediots I guess. Have already posted my "cluster" for the first pick - time to start thinking about what happens in the 2nd round of the 2013 NFL Draft - still want another O-line fatboy there too. Damn glad this draft is so deep in our primary area of need - kinda like the one that brought us Kindle Reyes. NFP breaks down players who shined in Saturday's workout Give me a fat guy who can bend, with good balance and great feet, not to mention pancake the opposition - I'll be tickled!
I'd let her share my popcorn during a football game if she would promise to keep quiet until appropriate times to cheer MY team on - otherwise...... (My stinkeye can hurt ya). She IS a hell of a good driver, as evidenced by being in the top 10 finishers at this Daytona - and I'm not jealous of either her $ - but like you get damn tired of all the mediot attention. It isn't gonna go away - but while I have the power within me to change the fargin channel I don't have to watch that part of the show.
My daughter went to middle-school with him. Several years back they ran into each other and he still remembered her.
Right up to and including they old figure eight destruction derby, although I don't believe Jimmy drove in those.
Those were a lot of fun....... sadly, the Cajon Speedway is no more. Where will the Jimmie Johnsons of tomorrow come from?
Chiefs trade for Alex Smith....... so the rumor goes. I wonder what they had to give up to swing that deal.
My last week of vacation after 8 months! **** I'll have to be in my car driving at this time next Monday! Sent from my Mobile Zin finder!
I agree with Blue! Top ten is good! I have only watched the start and the finish so far! Note to Jackie: looking at the stats I don't think the fastest car was even in the top ten! Winning takes a lot more the Just a good driver. Sent from my Mobile Zin finder!
Say WHAT !!!!!!!! ......you didn't even watch it ????? And here I am, getting up on my day off at 5am, just so I know what Im talking about and yet the NASCAR Man doesn't even watch the biggest race of the year ??? Last time that happens, let me tell ya !!!!!
From what I see around El Cajon, Lakeside and Santee these days - I think they broke the mold. <sigh>
If it does turn out to be the Chiefs, I'd be willing to bet their #1 pick wasn't part of the deal - JMHO.
I'd think it would be no higher than a 3rd round pick....... especially when it's the top of the round.
Since that is probably way to early to become fully vested, I assume we are talking picking back up on a 401K? (Don't answer Bro, not really any of my "bid-niz". )..
I can take my Albertsons and retail clerks at 55 That's the plan unless I fall in love with the new job!
