I was often ridiculed on CMB when I used to compare SM to Brian Bosworth. At least the latter "starred" in some movies :roflmao:

Seriously though, the juiced up and over hyped Boz had what? Like 2-3 season? Well in reality, SM also has 3 seasons before he became a part time cripple without the magic potion he used to use ;)

YEP, fair comparison that one Poofessoria .....

I still find it thoroughly amusing that people refuse to accept (what should be blantantly obvious by now) that he rorted the system and that whatever it was he was putting into his body, was the chief reason the guy ended up as he has ............. forget simple knee injuries (that 1000's of sports men and women have had and successfully come back from by the way) and "sheer bad luck" as the cause of his demise ..........................he become a broken down hack because the substances he used, wore down his muscles and tendons to the point they could no longer support the career he chose to do, simple as that.

Only the blindly homeristic refuse to admit it and if thats what gives them their Jolly's, then sobeit, but it certainly isn't a coincidence that this team started its spiral downwards when he went "making demands he couldn't live up too" and the franchise ate it up, hook, line and sinker.

And to think what might've been, if Jerry Jones had taken Merriman instead of Ware. Where would we be today?

I cannot believe the "sudden love" being showered upon this "most ordinary" of OG's ........ My god this league is getting watered down quickly if that's the case ......

He and Jumpy put Abbott & Costello to shame when it comes to making me laugh ........

Those guys would probably take offense to this question Jack. This version stomped his back foot on a pine board to keep time or enhance the musical effect... (depending on how you view the matter... haha).

I always considered Johnny Cash more disgusting... as at least there was some comedic value to Stompin' Tom. There is no doubt that Cowboy music is the most simple form that exists. It is the easiest to read or play and the easiest way to make a buck if you are a bad musician. The lyrical themes tend to mirror this simplicity... ma horse died... ma woman left me for some wild swine... There are songs for the working poor and down trodden. But when they take on patriotic or political tones... (like Toby Keith vs the Taliban)... you begin to approach the intellectual level of Antonio Cromartie.

American patriotism is like the loud fart in the room... (as anyone who has had to endure the USA USA chant at a sporting event will confirm). Canadian patriotism is worse as it is like the silent one that hits your nostrils forcefully without warning. Anyway... here is an hours worth. I don't suspect any of you can endure more than a minute. :D

Oooops, my bad, I figured him to be an Ol' time Hockey player mate, thus the "Stompin'" moniker.

By the way ..................."Cromartie and intellectual level" in the same sentence !!! ................. that one's gonna be impossible to top today, nice start to the day. ;)

True. This discussion often lacks objectivity though. Who is the more divisive demagogue? Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper... or Hugo Chavez? How much do you in the USA know about either?

    TKO ......TKO'd !!!!!!

Good move, going nowhere with that type player, tried hard and gave it his all, no problem with that and Thanks for the effort, but it's time to get players who make an impact, just not make up the numbers.

Few lean years lie ahead while that is achievable though Im afraid to say.

Dead is the only absolute imo. If Jared Gaither were dead, nobody could debate his value to the Chargers going forward. Otherwise.... :D

You think he'll get another gig Blew ???

I have my doubts, what is he ??? .... Coming up on 37 next birthday ???

It's not like he isn't showing his age over the last 3 or so years and if someone is desperate enough, no way they could be silly enough to dole out 3 Mill or so...... Could they ???? (OK, sorry, I was forgetting that Buddy boy is still employed, Buffalo is the elephant graveyard of the NFL, so he will be back in 2013 for certain)

As a rotational player.... yeah, I could see it.

How much did Junior see the field when Belichick brought him in? He was used in particular packages and situations.

Spikes is still a decent run stopper, and he's a sure tackler. If he gets to the guy, then he brings him down the majority of the time. He doesn't have the wheels anymore, but playing close to the line of scrimmage, he can still be effective.
