I like the fact that Tom Terrific is leaving no stone unturned......

Chargers hosted RB Michael Hill for visit
    By Michael Gehlken 11:22 A.M. APRIL 11, 2013

In 2011, there was Jordan Todman. In 2012, there was Edwin Baker.

For the third straight draft, a running back could join the Chargers in the late rounds.

Michael Hill is an option if one does. The former Missouri Western State running back visited the team facility last week, a source said.

Hill was the top runner in Division II last year, leading it with 2,168 yards. Sixteen of his 311 carries went for touchdowns, and he added 21 catches for 220 yards and three scores. A runner-up for the Harlon Hill Award, which is the D-II equivalent to Division I's Heisman, Hill was named offensive MVP at the Raycom All-Star Classic in January after totaling 12 carries for 162 yards and two scores.

The 5-foot-10, 210-pound back wasn't at the Senior Bowl or NFL Combine, so the visit helped put a face to the game film.

Missouri Western State has produced three NFL draft picks in its history: kicker Greg Zuerlein in the 2012 sixth round, defensive back John Fisher in the 1996 sixth, and defensive end Vince Thomson in the 1985 seventh. If Hill isn't the fourth, he is expected to catch on with a team as a rookie free agent.

    I wouldn't go that far Jacko. ;)

The way I see it, running back is largely an "instinctual" position..... either you have a feel for when and where to cut, or you don't. LT had it..... Mathews, I'm not so sure.

Don't get me wrong, Mathews is an athletic talent, but for all his speed and quickness, he doesn't make the instinctual moves that LT did. If this Division II kid has "it", then I'm fine with bringing him in. Some things can't be taught.

    Team needs: San Diego Chargers
Posted by Mike Wilkening on April 13, 2013, 9:01 AM EDT
The Chargers have missed the postseason in each of the last three seasons, their win total declining from nine in 2010 to eight in 2011 to seven in 2012. New head coach Mike McCoy and first-year GM Tom Telesco inherit a club with some strengths — but also some glaring weaknesses. Here is a closer look at the Chargers’ draft needs:
Offensive tackle: The Chargers, who hold the No. 11 overall pick, don’t necessarily have to add a tackle in Round One; in fact, seven years ago, they found a solid, multi-season solution at left tackle in Marcus McNeill in Round Two. Nevertheless, the Chargers would be wise to add to their options on the edges of their line, with the left side (the blind side of quarterback Philip Rivers) a more pressing issue than the right side. Rivers lacks mobility and needs to be well-protected to perform at an optimal level, but he can still hurt defenses if he has the necessary time in the pocket.
Outside linebacker: Shaun Phillips, who led the Chargers in sacks in 2012, is an unrestricted free agent. While second-year pro Melvin Ingram can surely be more of a rush threat that he was as a rookie (one QB sack in 16 games), the Chargers might want to add to the OLB depth chart. Jarret Johnson is tough but not an exceptional pass rusher, and he will be 32 at the start of the season. Also, fourth-year pro Larry English, who hasn’t produced as hoped, will be an unrestricted free agent at season’s end.
Cornerback: San Diego could be replacing both starting corners from a season ago with Antoine Cason signing with the Cardinals and 33-year-old Quentin Jammer unsigned. Ex-Jaguar Derek Cox and third-year pro Marcus Gilchrist will be two primary contributors at this position, but there is a little uncertainty thereafter, and the depth could stand to be bolstered.
Interior offensive line: The Chargers added guards Rich Ohrnberger (Arizona) and Chad Rinehart (Buffalo) in free agency, and center Nick Hardwick has been a dependable nine-season starter. However, the Chargers must continue to improve in the trenches given their struggles protecting Rivers and getting much out of the ground game in 2012.
Defensive tackle: With Aubrayo Franklin moving on to the Colts and Antonio Garay now with the Jets, the Chargers might want to add a little bulk in the middle behind starter Cam Thomas, the only defensive tackle currently on the roster.
Giving Rivers the best chance to succeed has to be a top priority for the Chargers, who have one pick in each of the draft’s seven rounds. San Diego has enough skill-position talent to be competitive, but Rivers can’t be sacked 49 times like he was a season ago if the Chargers are to be in the playoff mix. It’s hard to believe, but no AFC team in 2012 gained fewer yards per game than San Diego (297.3).

Oh NO BLEW, by all means give the kid a look, I have no problem at all with where a kid went to school, not everyone gets the priviledge of a Divvy 1 scholarship afterall.

Obviously many of the players coming from smaller schools don't have the benefit of playing against better players every week, but class is class, if he's good enough, he'll make it somewhere.

Now c'mon BLEW ................... he and Lindsey are "totally in love" don't ya know !!! :D

She being an athlete of considerable girth herself (5' 10", 165 lbs), may well be able to take Tiger down without the aid of a 9 Iron.

Plus, she isn't immune to a little strip teasing herself by the look of her glossary of picures out there.

I think she may have seen her fair share of "poles" over the years.......................and I'm not talking ski poles either !!! ;)

Sure was exciting mate, always nice to see someone "win it" with a great shot, rather than someone "lose it" with a shocker.

Great Scott! Aussie Adam Scott wins Masters

Tiger Woods finishes tied for fourth

(CNN) —Adam Scott produced the performance of his life to win the Masters Sunday and finally exorcise the demons of last year's British Open.Scott, the first Australian to ever wear the famous green jacket, defeated Argentina's Angel Cabrera on the second hole of the playoff after both men finished on nine-under on an enthralling day at Augusta.
As Scott sank the winning putt on the 10th at Augusta he banished the pain and heartache which had haunted him following his humiliating collapse at Royal Lytham last July.
On that occasion, the 32-year-old had looked set to win his first major until he somehow contrived to blow a four shot lead with just four holes remaining.
But with the eyes of the sporting world upon him, Scott showed nerves of steel to hole his putt and finally end Australia's Augusta curse.
"I don't know how that happened," Scott said in a television interview after his historic triumph.
"It seems a long, long way from a couple years ago, or last July when I was trying to win a major. It was incredible."
Scott's character and determination came to the fore at a course where his country's most famous golfer suffered so mercilessly.
Greg Norman, the man who squandered a six shot lead on the final day at the 1996 Masters, was the closest Australia had come to a Masters champion.
Norman lost out to Augusta native Larry Mize in a playoff in 1987, just a year after his bogey at the 18th allowed Nicklaus to win his 18th and final major.
