    Damn !!!!

Now Dennis Pitta also gone for the season, that will hurt the Ravens hopes of a repeat, seriously underated player in that team.

Look on the bright side...... if WRs keeping dropping at the current rate, we might be able to unload him on another team. ;)

Broncos losing Koppen is a big blow..... certainly counteracts any upgrade that the Vasquez signing may've brought. Peyton is not a happy camper right now.

'Upgrade' and 'Vasquez signing' in a sentence together?
Koppen didn't suck that bad ;)

I was going to say a backup CB, but it looks like we just signed one of those. I'd go for clearing roster/cap space to get a vet DE now.

I should've said any "perceived" upgrade that Vasquez may've brought to their O-line.

    There ya go

As far as Meacham and cap space. I'd say we get anything that ups our chances in the future. Hell a 7th round draft pick wouldn't be out of order (if his contract wasn't such a pain in the *** for whatever team willing to risk a 7th rounder....)

Exactly....... getting rid of his cap hit would be reason enough to trade him. Anything else would be gravy.

    Mmmm........ gravy. :)

Thats H.U.G.E ......... not sure there'd be such a thing as a Happy QB, knowing they'd lost their most important ally.

If Hernadez's mother still thinks he's innocent, then I'm sure Meachem has nothing to worry about. ;)

Well if he's still paying it off, YES, but if its all hers, hell NO, even she is probably embarrassed to have to face up to the other Mother's at the local Bingo every Tuesday Nite I bet.

Here's how that formula pans out ....

Mothers in regard to their own brood !!! = As unobjective as is humanly possible (end of story)

I do love these Faux Pas sites like Fake ESPN and Faux John Madden, some genuinely funny stuff.

They especially love hanging as much :poop: as possible on Sexy Rexy and Dirty Sanchez, which makes them alright in my book.

 :roflmao: Shawne Merriman lobbies for Falcons to sign him  :p
    By Tom Krasovic
    2:40 P.M.JULY 29, 2013

    He calls himself Lights Out.

But you knew he would not go gentle into that good night.

Ex-Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman is back in the news, this time after going to Twitter to make a plea for the Falcons to sign him.

Merriman, who retired in March, says he can team with Osi Umenyiora to boost Atlanta' pass rush.

There was a time Merriman backed his big talk. Say, his rookie year in 2005.

Back then, he told our Kevin Acee he'd get at least 10 sacks and "hurt a man." Making good, he had 10 takedowns and knocked Priest Holmes from a game.

Merriman had 39.5 sacks in his first three seasons, second in NFL history to only Dwight Freeney, who had 40.

He fell off a cliff after his PED bust and a severe knee injury, followed by Achilles ailments. Over the last three years, he played in eight games and had two sacks.

Merriman's public pitch to the Falcons created a story in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and here.

He believes in building his brand. No doubt, he'll find his way back into other headlines, or in front of TV cameras. Maybe it'll be as a wrestler or a mixed martial arts fighter.

At 29, his football career appears done. It can't be easy to accept. You don't become a three-time Pro Bowler by thinking small.

"I'd probably be selling shoes today if it wasn't for Eric."
True humility from a great songwriter and performer.
Sad to see the greats pass beyond. But no RIP here, let's hope he keeps playing wherever he ends up--another life, rock n roll heaven, whatever, the man was/is/always will be a master of his craft.

I can't believe I forgot to post on this subject last week when I seen it.

Indeed he was ..... Clapton would always have been "Clapton", never in doubt, but a few of J.J's songs certainly didn't hurt his resume`, thats a given.

    Everything you could think of.

    And more.

Which is a real ******* pisser. OTOH husband was a friend so at the time I figured I was making the right call. A year later I hear he doesn't give a sheet. 20 year old American kid wasn't able to suss it all out, so I figured lesson learned "next time", but there's never a next time with the puuuuurrrrfect Sisters of Rhodesia is there?

How the **** do you pass that lesson on to your kids?

This part deserves special mention, cause it confused the hell out of 20 yr old me. Let's just say they didn't mind sharing hand/mouth space. I thought Vermont was a crazy place to grow up for ds&rr, but it had nothing on Zimbabwe..
