This took place in the British Isles somewhere, correct ?

Far more likely it had Kipper's than anchovies I'd say SandyBob.

Lovely to see the Chargers propaganda machine in mid-season form in FEBRUARY !!! (couldn't even wait a month before rollin' out the dribble)

Loved these "whoa is us" paragraphs in particular ...........

Really ? ... devastate us economically !!

Hmmmm, makes you wonder how the franchise survived from '60 to '95 then, doesn't it ? :whistling:

Come on Fabiano, get a new tune, you wore that one out years ago Dude.

All the more perplexing then Jack. A generous portion of ghee spread on a nan would seem to serve better.

It's not as far fetched as you think - as much as I love the Murph, it's a dump and the Chargers need as big an audience as they can get to find buyers for those suites. A new stadium makes it much more attractive a buy, especially locally. I'd imagine a new facility would make losing the LA market share less painful for sure.

Probably need to explain myself a little to those not familiar with my views on the stadium standoff Syd, like yourself.

love the idea of a new stadium, that's a no brainer as we are all well aware, but the shortsightedness of the both the city and Spanos family as to how best achieve such a resolution is where my problems lie Syd.

These peeps need to stop trying to shortchange each other and just get the fargin' thing built, in this day and age of economic crisis, multi billionaires will get very little sympathy from the public in general and God knows they are already asked to dig deep for the experience of attending games, without tax rises added to an already tight purse.

If the city and Spanos family don't already have enough between them in the coffers, then I guess it's time to move on, as much as that aggravates me to say, but the propaganda both sides have resorted too over the years of laying the blame on each other is way past old, either shite or get off the pot, sick of hearing all the "why nots", you either want a world class facility to draw attractions to the city for the next 20 years or not, it's really not that tough a decision to make as far as I can tell.

I get what you're saying, and on the surface I totally agree. However, its not quite so simple... If there was land available for the Spanos family to buy and build the stadium on in SD they'd do it. They already offered to do it at the current site, give the stadium to the city in exchange for acreage to develop and they'd continue being a paying tenant on a facility that would make money for the city vs lose it. The city refused.

I don't think its unreasonable to not pay the full cost of developing a site and facilities you won't own and will only be renting for 10-12 games a year. Meanwhile the landlord would be renting it out year-round.

I also consider it a countywide investment and expense, not just a city one. An NFL franchise is a valuable commodity, I really do wish the people with real power and influence would stop ******* around and get it done (like you)

I am sure some of you will remember the health issues Cali had years ago....
My son had rescued her from an animal shelter in So. Cal. she took ill yesterday.
After hours at the vet they could not do any more to help her,
Cali was really a sweet dog after being abused in her early years....

    Sincere condolences Bud :(

Lost a 7 year old golden retriever to cancer in 2004 and it still stings like an SOB at times, because he was such a sweet and great dog. I went on a goldie forum and eulogised him and found many peep sharing the same pain and sense of loss, which helped a lot at the time. A couple of great dogs since then but the memories are irreplaceable.

Saying goodbye to a fuzzy family member is never easy. Thinking of you sir. She was a lucky lady to have you and your fam to love her and give her the life she deserved after a rough start. *hugs*

Luckily you inserted that in there, or else Jacko would've otherwise thought that Pumpy had decided to dump him!

Excuse my absence of late, been busy .....will catch up today sometime hopefully.

Good moves by Telesco ........good start to the 14 season getting rid of useless baggage in Mc Clain and Cox, like that he doesn't seem the type to let dead weight stick around for years past their use by date like the past regime.

Keep it up Tommy! there's still a few more who need to be moved on for this team to take the next step forward.

    DAMN PUMP !!!!!:(

Sad to hear this news mate, I know you'd grown very fond of her in the time you've had her.

She at least lived out her last few years in great company and would have been most appreciative of that after her early years .....

Be in touch soon mate, keep your head up.

He puts the "nut" in "nutcase."

Similar to Jacko in that regard.
