Don't those two kind of remind you of a young Norv and Chud

I'm sorry, but if your name is Chud, you must coach in New York!!

They can target him all they like... so far as I'm aware it's positional coaches and not coordinators that are able to freely interview for lateral hires. The Browns would have to get permission from us to interview/hire Pagano since he's under contract. And since it seems the FO's intent is to keep Pagano regardless of who the new HC is, I don't think that permission's likely to be given.

I like what we've been seeing from him. That said, I'm actually really happy they're going about this the way they are - an incoming HC should have full control over his staff and I didn't like the idea that we were force-feeding Pagano onto any hire. If we were to bring in say Gus Bradley or Greg Roman, or even an HC that wanted to bring in Ray Horton as a DC (he's no lock to go back to Arizona, depending on who the new HC ends up there), I'm not nearly as tied to Pags.

As much as I want to keep Pagano I agree we shouldn't be forcing him on anyone. But I do hope whomever the new HC is decides to keep him.

Why? He hasn't seemed to really do much in Arizona. He is like 41-50? He did make a SB, but was that his doing? He just strikes me as.... I guess 'vanilla' is the best way to put it. He just doesnt curl my toes... So I am not arguing your opinion, just asking what you like about him.

I am not overly thrilled with the prospect of Lovie Smith either. I guess I am just in a spot where I would support who ever was in there, fearing the worst but hoping for the best.

I would take Smith as head coach, and Wisenhunt as offensive coordinator... But not super excited about either of these guys.

I agree about the Whizz. I would rather have Lovie Howell Smith as HC but I put him just a notch above the Whizz.

Well I don't have a strong feeling about any of the candidates. The only one that I was intrigued by was Trestman.

If we can get an O-line like the 49ers...it won't matter who the HC is.

Mark Roman is a very interesting name to me right now, I want to see him come in and demand we draft O-line in the first 3 rounds, turn this into a power running show with Rivers as the caretaker.

When do they get a chance to interview him? Looks like the 9ers are going to win tonight and move on. Do they wait or grab someone else?

Mike McCoy intrigues me, His ability to adapt to Cutler, Orton, Tebow, and Manning (not really adapting) but with the ability to work his offense @ 4 different styles and succeed is what I like about this guy

    Of those guys...

    1. Smith
    2. Bradley
    3. Roman (hopefully we don't have to wait until after the SB to see this guy)
    4. Arians
    5. Whisenhunt.

I'd be as unhappy about the hiring of Smith or Arians as I was with Norv.

Smith at the top? And no McCoy? Why Lovie?

Personally I was all in on Arians when he was the hot item but now that I think about it Im not really even sure if I would have him in my list of top candidates, he coddles the players, which in my opinion was one of Norvs worst traits. Its a tough one for me, personally I would move Whisenhunt up ahead of him
