The sh*tty unis coincided with an era of disappointment and Norv. Seems like ditching them would be an awesome idea.
The only defensive coaches the chargers have had that won championships won in different cities. Noll and Madden come to mind right off the top.
Broncos are in meltdown mode. Scapegoat=Milus. Nevermind that Champ Bailey was keeping the stadium warm by being burned all day. Nevermind that Manning threw an INT that gave the Ravens a chance late in the game. Nevermind that the safety misplayed the ball against Jones. This is good news...
DB's screwed up badly on that play, but Manning throwing a pick inside the 40 on his side cost them the game.
Naw. Good news will be if/when Telescope and the Real McCoy send Ron Meeks packing and he joins Denver as their new secondary coach.
Fixed it for you. It was almost worth hearing months of non-stop Manning love to watch him choke yet again. How many times do I have to hear an NFL commentator say, "You just don't expect that kind of thrown in that situation from Peyton Manning?" How quickly people forget. If it wasn't for the Bolts sh*tting the bed against the Pats in 2006, Manning might have gone down in history as the Schottenheimer of quarterbacks.
Thats HMFIC. And sounds like hes not the kind of guy that drinks his own koolaid. Seems like more a puddin' kind of guy. We shall see.
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter RT @mortreport: Chip Kelly is the new coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, according to league sources. No announcement yet.
It's official. Chip Kelly to the Eagles. Already tweets from recruits saying "WHAT!!!!". I would bet in 12-24 months we will see massive sanctions coming down on Oregon for recruiting practices. Kelly escapes to NFL to avoid dealing with it a la Carroll.
I get the feeling this will be a bad decision for both Chip Kelly and the Eagles, but now we get to see if a weird spread option game can work
The Chicago Bears have hired Marc Trestman, formerly of the CFL’ s Montreal Alouettes as their new Head Coach.Bears hire ex-CFL coach Trestman
Seriously, is Jay Cutler making all coaching and personnel decisions now? Hiring a guy that hasn't coached American football in 8 years is pretty far outside the box. But he worked with Cutler for a week once and Cutler likes him.
According to Profootballtalk, there is "increasing chatter" the Cardinals will offer their head-coaching job to Colts OC Bruce Arians. Arizona is Arians' last chance for a promotion after he was passed over for the Chargers and Bears' jobs. 49ers OC Greg Roman replacing Mike Mularkey in Jacksonville is viewed as a fait accompli in league circles. PFT reports the Cardinals insisting on potential hires retaining DC Ray Horton could be a hang-up, but we doubt the 60-year-old Arians would let that stand in the way of what could be his last, best chance to land a head gig. I hope he gets the job
I liked the guy 8 years ago. But he's been passed up for every HC vacancy for the last 8 years. That might be a reflection of what NFL decision-makers think of his head coaching ability.
Jaguars hire Gus Bradley as head coach http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/01/17/jaguars-hire-gus-bradley-as-head-coach/
Yep, it's amazing to think about. All the crappy head coaches that have been hired in the last 10-15 years--Mangini, Haley, Mornhinweg, McDaniels, Marinelli--and Trestman was a less attractive candidate than all of them.
