Official Chargers Draft Day Thread - 4/26/12

Who is she!?.... You have to wonder does John Spanos not look at that every day and say 'WTF was I thinking!?, I look like such a moron'.

One things for sure... no matter who it is, the platitudes will be rolled out for him by the organisation. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the war room as the draft unfolds to see who it is they 'really' wanted to fall to them, but then had to make do with AN Other. Yet as soon as AN Other is drafted, 'he was the guy we wanted, we identified him from a long ways out, great character guy, never takes plays off blah de blah de blah'. I know it is what they have to say but like I said I'd love to see their board.

Please keep me updated on the draft! I can't watch due to being on deployment, and my internet connection is HORRIBLE! I can't even load the pics in the first two posts hah.

Pure Sol, Here's a little google tool that comes in handy when I've been in countries with piss poor internet connections:

Go to that page and paste any urls you want to view into the address bar there. Pages will load with out alot of the ad banners and superfluous crap that makes them time out on slow connections. You can also choose to hide images. Not ideal, but at least it allows you to read webpage text.

Anyone else have a dream last night who the Chargers pick? Last night I went through a run down before going to bed looking at mock drafts and watching highlight reels getting myself pumped (big mistake)

In my dream we kept going DT, O line but had and endless 1st round pick

it was like Cartman from South Park after every pick

Any fool knows that you (probably) had ample opportunity to trade down
and get that guy with a much lower pick. It's common knowledge among me
and my googling buddies that Æ>®∑≤¥ (probably) would've gladly traded up.
Also, history shows that drafts are always able to be intelligently graded
right after they happen. Only a Ryan Leaf wouldn't know THAT!
That old 3-year rule is for people who think too much and judge too slow.

p.s. I know some guys won't understand my anger, re. you not getting a Top 10 guy
with the 18th pick--without paying to move up--but those guys just don't understand
the power of rainbows!

Hey does anyone know of a site that keeps a running track of players taken from the big board?? Would like to find a ez way to look for that info come day 2 and 3. After the 1st round dust settles and we know whos going to fall from their projected draft ranks, would be nice to have a whos left list to browse through.

And sub threads will be started as felt needed be by fans that need to talk about just 1 draft pick in particular (Good/Bad) and why it is better or worse than what others think.

Im sure the I told ya SOs will all stay in here for ease of gettin that first told ya so on predicted picks made correctly.

I was gonna predict Kalil at 3 and Minny jus tryin to get a trade partner being a no go.

Heres hoping that Tannehill does get drafted in the top 16.

NFLn now sayin DET is one of the few teams reported to want to move up in the teens. Maybe lookin to grab a falling DeCastro.

Yea couldnt remember the Corners name, but yea Gilmore or even DeCastro. Seems to me more likely DeCastro as Gilmore prob is gone already.

Or Kirkpatrick.

If we did that, and then found a way to draft Perry and Harrison without giving up any future picks I'd be very satisfied with this draft.
