BTW, they're going with the "you had no direct affect on the game" defense

Don't you need to throw a minimum amount of passes before your QB rating counts?

:icon_eek: :icon_eek: :icon_eek: Sorry for this guys but I am shocked and almost speechless that in my lifetime I was able to see the San Diego Chargers gave the big 0000000000000000000's as points against an opponent and it is sweeter that it is against the hated TURDS we blanked them in their own home.:icon_eek: :icon_eek: :icon_eek:

:) I do not know what else to say but wow.:)

Quentin Jammer played like a pro-bowler aside from that missed tackle (very rare for him) but who noticed right?

Rivers described what happened on KIOZ:

"He brought me down, a bunch of boos went up and he said 'that wasn't completed was it.' I got a little excited and said 'Yes that was big boy! Yes that was.'"

LOL!! u beat me to it Shammy!!

CLASSIC Philip...some thangs never change. That boy can trash talk more "politely" than anybody I've ever seen. :icon_rofl:

    AJ is God

"Shawne Merriman is the best defensive player I've seen since I've been in the league."
    --Derrick Burgess

"Luis Castillo is the best defensive lineman I've seen since I returned to coaching in 1997."
    --Dick Vermeil

Rexy my BoltAngel...I am feelin FAR tooooo good at the moment and should be sound asleep but there's just noooo way yet. Feelin too happy at the moment and smiling bout as wide as Philip standing over Sapp. LOL!!!

my poor girls are gonna be exhausted. they stayed up and watched the game too and they got school tomorrow of course. they won't be the only ones draggin. that whole high school tomorrow will be covered in Rivers jerseys and tired but happy smiles!

i was totally impressed by Philip tonight. poised. confident. not jumpy or jittery. no happy feet as most people refer to his happy feet. he was money.

more than with Philip, I was impressed by the TEAM.

This group has found or formed or whatever u want to call it, something veryyyy special. They are going to be a force to be reckoned with. The D should from this moment forth stand for: DANGEROUS and the Oline when turned loose is also going to be downright nasty to deal with.

The playcalling tonight was not what *I* wanted to see. Selfishly I wanted to see a lot of passing so I could sit in front of my tv and smile and think to myself..."I told em so." But the bottom line is, running the ball and the D just got the job done without much passing the ball.

The Chargers looked so frickin dominant but truly, I think our local high school Athens Golden Eagles coulda beat the Raiders tonight. (Had to get in at least one nasty dig at the Raiders!)

Seriously, I don't think there is a team out there tonight who could have beaten this Charger Defense. They were phenomenal. Merriman is a frickin freak of nature!!! How can you possibly have THAT much fun and get paid for it??!! It just aint right.

Seeing Philip tonight relaxed, happy, smiling, intense, confident...it felt like old times again. I know he's gonna hit some rough patches. But I feel 117% positive about this season with him leading the Bolts.

Now...if Marty will just turn my homeboy loose...

    ohhhh yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Teresa ;-)

da official adoptee mama is feelin VERY proud. thanks again Eldwin for lettin me have my homeboy!

me and my girls were all laughin till we hurt about that play. all 3 of us were comin up with stuff that we could just "hear" Philip sayin.

    "is that all you got?"

    "c'mon hit me again."

"that didn't hurt none. let's go again."

"was that ya best shot at me?"

    "passsssssssss complete!"

"missed me. gonna hafta go faster next time."

we were totally killin over laughin here :icon_rofl: u could just see by his expressions that he'd just said something truly smart assed in that southern drawl of his that came out probably sounding like an invitation to tea compared to what most of these players are used to hearing from other!!!!! :icon_tease:

Did you hear Vermeil say that Castillo is the best d lineman he's seen since he returned to the league in 1997? Talk about some high praise.

The team will stay home.... They'll just send Shaun to represent. OK, I'll be serious.. Being the defensive player lover he is, Ditka could have meant that Merriman will lead his team to the SB.

DID RON JAWORSKI REALLY SAY, "DREW WHO"? :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl:

    I missed it...

Oh yeah. I forgot about that one. You know Jaws didn't want to badmouth the gutsy little Brees, but you can just tell that he thinks very highly of Rivers. That's one man who does not think the Bolts made a mistake going with Rivers.
