The game marks the beginning of an arduous four-week stretch in which the Chargers will play the Dolphins in Miami, before returning home to face the defending AFC Champion New England Patriots, followed by road trips to Buffalo and London, England where the Bolts will face the New Orleans Saints. The Series Playing the Dolphins in Miami has been anything but kind to the Chargers. It’s been more than 27 years since the Chargers won a game in Miami and they have never defeated the Dolphins in what is now Dolphin Stadium. The all-time series is tight with Miami holding a slim 13-12 edge, but the Dolphins have won six and a row. The Chargers’ last win in the series was in the 1994 AFC Divisional Playoffs. Notable Connections Chargers Head Coach Norv Turner was the Dolphins’ offensive coordinator from 2002-03. Special teams coach Steve Crosby worked for the Dolphins from 1977-82, starting out as a scout and eventually moving into coaching as a special teams and linebackers coach. Bolts senior executive Randy Mueller was Miami’s general manager from 2005-07. Tackle L.J. Shelton played for the Dolphins during the ’06-07 seasons, starting every one of the 32 games he played in for Miami. Cornerback Antonio Cromartie is from Tallahassee, Fla., and attended Florida State, while LB Brandon Siler (Orlando) and DT Ian Scott (Gainesville) both attended the University of Florida. SS Clinton Hart is from Bushnell, Fla. and was a pitcher at Central Florida Community College. Dolphins’ offensive coordinator Dan Henning was the Chargers head coach from 1989-91. Tight ends coach George DeLeone was the Bolts’ offensive line coach in 1997. Wide receivers coach Karl Dorrell is a former UCLA head coach and wide receiver for the Bruins. Dolphins RB Ricky Williams is from San Diego and prepped at Patrick Henry HS. WR Greg Camarillo spent the 2005-06 seasons in San Diego as a member of the practice squad in ’05 and on the active roster in ’06. Other Dolphins from Southern California include LB Joey Porter (Bakersfield), S Tyrone Culver (Palmdale) and WR Derek Hagan (Palmdale).

The worst part is when the game ends, I'm usually still jacked up and can't get to sleep if it's a night game.

I moved from Dego in 99 after being there all my life to North Carolina. I was hoping this year but a surgery put an end to that, hopefully next year.
