Norv did screw the pooch on that play on the 1. That was a bad call and we all knew what he was going to do and LT cant jump. He was limping before that play and probably shouldnt have been playing much today. Sproles was doing much better.
It's going to be tough to even win the division with play like this. If Donks get couple breaks and stay ahead in the win column, we're in trouble.
Norv wasn't consistent with the run today, and it cost us. We had lots of room to run the football, and two or three blown blocking assignments were enough to stop us from pounding them the rest of the game. LT and Sproles had lots of room, but the playcalling didn't give them the ball enough. Rivers was obviously struggling, and we kept asking him to throw. Funny, because when we have no room to run the football, we manage to hand off to LT thirty times.
I hate to say it but last year was supposed to be our year. Te window of opportunity has now closed. The question is how many years do we now have to wait until we have another opportunity at it?
Rivers was off the whole game (maybe the injury during the first play). All his throws were off, he had open receivers.
It's sad, but I have to agree...after five games we still are struggling. This is the worst loss because the score was actually closer than the game...we got our butts kicked by the fish!:icon_sad:

The team did not look good out of the gate. Our defense seriously has me worried now... Playing like that they will be sitting home come January.
I must agree. We looked like the team that showed up to play the first half of the Raiders game last week, and it hung around to play the second half as well. No fire. No confidence. No execution. No game! Pitiful coaching, again. Where were the adjustments? I saw none. Oh sigh.
According to our British teenage guru, we needed to win this game in order to compete in our division.

Couldnt get the defense off the field. They ran the ball down our throats and we couldnt stop them. Yeah the offense sucked badly, but you need to stop them if you want a chance to tie it up. 170 rushing yards givin up is PATHETIC and down right HORRIBLE. That eats up a lot of clock

The good news is that we play in a very mediore AFC West. We still have a great chance of winning the division. Plus the last three SB champions all looked like **** at some point during the season. Pittsburgh in 05 and the Gnats in 07 didn't even look like playoff teams with only a couple of weeks left in the season. The Colts in 06 couldn't stop the run going into the playoffs. The bad news is that something needs to chance dramatically. The offense looks lost and the defense is soft. We have been out coached every game thus far. In addition our players look like they are going thru the motions and don't have any heart at this point of the season. They are grown men and shouldn't have to have coaches get them amped up for a game at the NFL level. One last point is that I will be pissed at any player whining about the LT ball flip the entire Dolphin team was doing at the end of the game. A young outmatched team biatchslapped an arrogant team and deserve the spoils of the victory. If any Charger takes exception to those gestures than I would kindly sugggest that the shut the phuk up and do their talking on the field. EOM.

The defense did stop them, but when the offense does absolutely nothing, you can't expect the defense to continue to play at a high level in that humidity. This game is on the offenses ineptitude, especially Norv and Rivers since the pass happy attack didn't allow LT, Sproles, and the offensive line to get in a groove. Our running backs didn't even get 20 carries combined today. That's pathetic, especially when your QB doesn't complete 50% of his passes.
No we dont. Denvers defense is just crap so we can still win the division but we clearly are not up to par with the good teams that are playing good defense. We cant even score from the 1 and we couldnt stop a 1 yard run up the middle when we neded to. IF LT is hurting, he needs to sit the f*** down more often. Sproles is just much quicker then he is right now. Norv was very uncreative on offense today.
I feel worse than a Raiders fan. We'll never see a team with this much talent again!!! Norv is destroying it!!!
