Blatant holding by Carolina on that last play. WTF were the refs looking at? Those last 2 seconds should never have been on the clock. The clock should have run down on the 2nd to last play. No way Carolina called a timeout in time. Defense should have stopped Carolina much earlier in the drive and not even let them close.

    Wow...... what a finish.

Gotta give it to Delhomme and that TE, the new Gates maybe?.

Like some have said this one is on the D and the Marty like negative playcalling. When we needed to be aggressive guys like Rivers and VJ stepped up.

    WAKE UP CALL.

Hopefully there will be some serious tape review and some guys need to be called out esp Wilhelm, Igor, Smith, Weddle.

Good news though is Cason is the u know what and VJ is the real deal if only we would involve him in the friggin game.

Why wasn't Delhomme called down on that pass play when he was on his knees? Wasn't someone touching him? Questionable refereeing in this game.

I'm pissed, our D sucked big time. This lose is right on our D.

Quit whining. We lost because we failed to press the line of scrimmage and failed to man up on their guys. I am thoroughly pissed about the use of a zone here. Man up, double their receivers and jam with one guy and cover with another. They also followed their habitual pattern or ignoring opportunistic match ups and key players like Gates and VJ until it was too late.

It's time to bring in a kicker that can kick it into the endzone for crying out loud!!!!!

U know what imho we deserved to lose...

Think about it, we were so lucky to be still in the game after Q1.

I believe we can turn this sort of wake up call and massive learning experience (we have now learned our run D needs overhauling). Oh to be a fly on the wall when Rivera and Pagano watch the tape.

Didn't ya'll learn anything from last year? It's not how you start, it's how you finished. The Chargers just need to get better each and every week, and there's a lot of room for improvement going into the game against the Donks.

Ya your right, but it is time for us all to mourn our loss...it the first part of the recovery process. So, bring back your optimism later tonight. But for now...:2guns:

I am not mad....Showmeyourbolt is right. It's how you finish the season that matters.

I am a little drunk right now, but this is how i do my best thinking. I have 2 complaints (and they are worries)

    1. Our O line needs A LOT of work. Rivers was pressured way too much in the pocket and LT had no room to run. He is not the type of RB to be trying to run guys over. The O line needs work!

    2. Where the hell are the Middle line backers!!!!!! did they forget or do they event know how to tackle!!!. The secondary had way too many plays and runs coming at them. Donnie Edwards may have been a little biatch, but at least he knew how to tackle!

I know there is a ton of season left but this will not do for a lombardi.

Exactly. I would also add that the offense needs to be opened up from play number 1 and full bore until the opponent is crushed. No more of this BS about trying to pound the ball with LT.

LT will have many chances in a wide open offense. Why do they wait until it is too late to start openning the offense?

Looked like a typical cottrell defense. Unaware of situations. And out of place to do anyting about it. I always wondered why he was let go so many times. Something needs to be done tonight to fix the defense. Considering we have one of the best defensive minds in football in Rivera I'd say do it. The defense couldn't be any worse that it is now.

I blame this on Ted Cottrell. PREVENT? Are you ****ing kidding me? We'll let them catch the ball and then hit them. good idea....except this team CAN'T TACKLE!!! Wilhelm, Smith, Philips, Weddle, Castillo, and Williams - Did you forget how to tackle? Did you forget how to cover? And did you ****ing forget how to defend?
Shelton, Newberry, Clary, and Dielman - Did you forget how to block? Did you forget how to create seams? Did you ****ing forget how to PLAY your ****ing position?

Phil, you are golden. LT, way to go man, way to go. Cason, welcome to the NFL; all you need is a few more minutes on the field and you'll be fantastic. Jammer, nice hits. Weddle, can you grow two inches? Gates, it is so ****ing great to have ya back!

Jake Delhomme can suck a dick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Denver has more than forty yard rushing next week, heads better start rolling because this is ridiculous!
