1 million dollars should be enough to pay for that surgery procedure...

If Cooper is so damn smart, make him a coach. Just get him off the field.

From Peter King today. A guy who has been cut can be taken and put on a PS elsewhere. That isn't right. Would it not make sense to allow the team who found and developed the guy to put him on their PS firstly?. If another team then liked the guy they would have to put him in their 53.

San Francisco named Alex Smith the starting quarterback, Colin Kaepernick the backup and signed Scott Tolzien to the practice squad. The latter is the undrafted kid who was popular with the draftniks before the draft, who couldn't make the Chargers.

He is correct. If a player is on waivers, then a team can sign them straight to their PS. If however they sign the player from a PS, that player has to go to their active roster. It is a chance a team takes.

A player may not go to the PS without being cut, and going through waivers.

Gotcha. I'm suggesting that they should change the way this works. I don't think it's fair to an organisation who has found and developed a player (especially one that was not drafted) to not get a chance to have the guy join their PS. Yes other teams can steal players from other team's PS's but they must put them on their 53, I am cool with that. Seems strange that a team can steal a player for their PS from a team that cannot until the player 'clears waivers'.

CB Darius Butler released by Patriots after club was unable to trade him - should be a hot commodity on waivers.
