Norv needs to stop going to brown on every freakin third down he should be called third down and short.
I just don't know how much more they can ask the defense to do. Damn offense has to come through with something, hell even a first down would be nice.
Its insane that we're not getting blown out. A pick 6, a tipped pass that gets picked, and another fumble and it fools dumb fans into thinking we're actually playing well.
That, or he just doesn't have anything planned. He's never striked me as the proactive type...see Marty vs AJ 6 years ago. He just kinda let that play out.
Clearly Philip Rivers is a bust...because he can't score points with Norv and one of the worst offensive lines in the league. Pretty much the same logic people are using with Ryan Mathews.
I admit it too. But the facts are there, when we could block Philip Rivers made it to 3 strait Pro bowls and put up near MVP numbers. When we could block (and he was healthy) Ryan Mathews made a Pro Bowl. Declaring any offensive playmaker on this team a bust, or washed up, is ignorance on a level that I'm not able to even comprehend. I don't believe Gates is done either, I don't believe Floyd or Royal are bad players, I don't believe Alexander should be shut down for an entire half...it all starts up front.
Has nothing to do with his patience! He is rubbing it into the Chargers faithful faces. It is very evident that he does not care about the product which he is presenting on the field at the Q and if it should boil down to taking his team to greener pasture for the sake of a much more lucrative payoff day, he will do whatever necessary to add to his own fortunes at the expense of us, the fans', misfortunes. It will be an insult to one's intelligence to think that AJ Smith is not also into this plot and will gladly take the fall on Spanos's sword for a very attractive golden handshake from the Deaner. If the Deaner has any feeling of empathy for the hapless SD fans, he should fire Norf right after this very game, but he wouldn't. It is not coincidence that this once juggernaut offense has been weakened and disassembled one piece and one component at a time and if it wasn't for our D (and some ST plays) this season, we would practically not have much of an O!!!
