I just want to see something resembling a running game from the Chargers in the first half...after that it is "the battle of the unknowns" for roster spots. The recliner is ready and the snacks are standing by!!!!
Three things: Chargers vs. Cowboys By Bill Williamson Three things to watch for in San Diego’s preseason game at Dallas on Sunday night. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET: 1. Make more plays on special teams: The Chargers' special teams looked much improved last week against Seattle. They even had a 103-yard kickoff return for by Bryan Walters. This unit needs to continue to play well to inspire confidence. 2. Continue defensive dominance: The San Diego defense was awesome against Seattle’s first-team. Seattle didn’t get past mid-field in the first half. San Diego’s defense looked nasty. Let ‘s see if it can keep it up. 3. More Darryl Gamble: The undrafted rookie from Georgia was a star in the Seattle game. He stood up in a sea of players who will likely be cut. He was moved from inside to outside linebacker last week. He showed a great pass-rush burst and could be a keeper.
Nicely done SandyBob........... can't believe you sat up all night just to post on time you whacker !!! Agree with Cheapseats above....... Show us something that resembles a "running game" and some good ol' nastiness on by both Lines, that will satisfy my appetite this week......
Cheers Jack. It more or less meets the spec Blew laid out. Does it mean I have to make another one if the Chargers win?
I would believe so mate ...........dem the rules, aren't they ? We may have to come up with an alternative though as far as posting, having you sit up till 3am is asking an awful lot, maybe just get it done at a reasonable time and PM it to one of us on the West coast to post it at 12 ?
My vote would be Sandy should continue regardless of outcome since we don't care about the final score in a frickin exhibition! Nice job Sandolf!!!
I'm looking forward to the first team playing the 1st half. I'm hoping they work on the running game a little more. Interested in what the D can do against Romo and company. Also hoping for no injuries as well
Sounds like several of our starters won't be playing in this one, Phillips, LaBoy, Gates, (Plus Cesaire who I don't know if he will be a starter or 2nd team/rotation)...
Well, at least it will be most of the starters. I would like to see the first team offense for more than one series at least. Minus Gates of course.
SDchargersdude Christopher Smith From inside the Cowboys Stadium press box, three things to watch: 1) Gamble (other OLBs out), 2) O-line run block, 3) STs cont. improvement Again, meaningless exhibition - I love the idea of seeing more of what Gamble and a bunch of the other young'uns have to bring to the table - he should get a shot with two of our starting OLBs being held out of this one.
Lets see How Larry does. I saw a clip of him going one on one with a Tackle of the Cowboys and he looked better..Looked like he added some chub too, he looked too lean in the past IMO.
Larry had a chubby for a Cowboy? (Dave leaves the room to get an adult beverage and contemplate the wonders of the universe).
**** yes, this is the second Chargers game in a row that I get broadcast up here in Canada! If I can see the next two + I'm getting Sunday Ticket at my new place, I might not miss any Chargers games this year!
sdutChargers S.D. U-T Chargers RT @KadinHP: @sdutChargers who's going to return kickoffs tonight? (not that it matters much anymore)>It matters. Primarily Goodman, Walters
SDchargersdude Christopher Smith Out: Cason, Sullivan, Summers, Teal, Morris, Otterson, McNeill, Cesaire, Sperry, Gates, Brown, Washington, Phillips, Barnes, LaBoy. Add Cason to the list and I think its smart to hold him out...
With Cason out, Gilchrist is going to get the work at CB.... There are (at least) 4 phases to special teams work - Gilchrist is (or has been) also worked at gunner... Busy guy and undoubtedly now starting at CB, time for something to give a little.
