Anyone else notice Gilchrist is leading Goodman out, big diff. Hester is so slow Goodman was on his back before they met contact. I like to see speed lead him out. Go 38!!.
We need to draft a CB who can catch the damn ball. These drops are the kind of things that can easily be the difference between being 12-4 and 8-8. 1 pick in the Denver game, we win. 1 pick in the Jets game, we win. 1 pick in the Bears game, and we probably win, although that one goes on Mathews. 1 pick in the Chiefs game, and we absolutely win. For the love of all that is holy catch the goddamn ball Cason and Jammer!
Wait? Crayton actually caught the ball? Much less did something productive after the catch? Is this Bizarro world?
What do you think LBC, what do we spend our 1st round pick on this year? OT? CB? WR? NT? OLB? Pending our free agency situation we have a lot of holes to fill. I'd like to see us spend some money this year, but that might require an AJ Smith firing.
Value. I think limiting ourselves to drafting for strictly need in the 1st round has been part of the reason our 1st round picks have been less than impressive. BPA at any position that's not QB, 5-Tech (though I honestly wouldn't object if Devon Still was the best player available at wherever we pick), K/P, or RB/FB.
Its these kind of strange stretches that make me wonder if we should really give him a big contract. There are times where he goes into beast mode and looks like he could hang with Calvin Johnson and Roddy White, and there are other times where he just.......goes away. Not exactly worth a 40-50 million dollar investment.
VJ needs to take a v SD friendly contract or it's bye. If he does nada when hurt why is he on the field. Give Brown a freakin chance, he's 100% right!?. Jeeeeeeeeeez.
He promised the same thing in SF under Singletary and they played the exact way our D does. There's absolutely no point to running majority zone-coverage out of a 3-4 formation unless you're going to consistently implement zone-blitz packages, which Manusky doesn't. I can count on one hand the number of times this season we've blitzed a DB. Compare that to both Rivera and Wade.
I'm gonna be on my own little island hoping for Dre Kirkpatrick this year. But if we lose McNeill its a toss up. Not a fan of Still myself, a little too inconsistant.
SDchargersdudeChristopher Smith San Diego is 6-2 when leading at halftime this season. The Chargers need eight more points to reach 400 for an eighth consecutive season.

Damn Javiar Arenas just waved for a fair catch and then dropped it and DEN now has it at the 20 yd line ;/
I had to laugh earlier... Rivera rushed 3 guys and Brees sat down, had a smoke, a beer and a sandwich then hit Colston for the TD. What is it with these D coordinators rushing 3, it's not like there can be 4 O linemen in on a play F me, what a joke they are. Don't get me wrong Rivera> Manusky (but that ain't hard).
