His inconsistency is more a product of the fact that he plays upright way too much... it's correctable, definitely correctable. Kirkpatrick's going to be an interesting one to see how he pans out. I'm not convinced that every team is going to se him as a pure cover corner - in a way he's kind of a much bigger Earl Thomas... he can play corner but his better fit is as a safety. He's one of those guys at the top of my realistic BPA wishlist along with Peter Konz, Reiff (if he falls... and it's possible if he adds any more weight to the "he's more of a pure RT than an LT" debate at the combine), and Nick Perry (if we're picking 19-20 which is pretty much where we would be most likely if we win this game; his value kicks in right around that point if maybe 2 or so picks later... not enough to equivocate over IMO). I might even add Brandon Thompson to that list in time.
And Liuget does that with a hand in his grill the entire way. I swear Clete Jackson must be legally blind.
IMO if you took Antonio Cromartie and gave him A+ tackling ability and character....he'd be Dre Kirkpatrick. If we are solid at OT coming into the draft I'll be all in on him. Tall CBs are not my favorite usually, but quickness doesn't seem to be his issue. If he's got one weakness its over aggression going for the INT, and it could him exposed early in the league.
