Can someone tell me what the hell Rivers was doing?!? No passion to try and spike the ball and get one more play? 10 seconds, at least jump up and TRY. He just walks away like the game was long over. I'm so pissed at this guy right now and pretty much the whole team.
This is the 3rd or 4th game thats ended in a loss with a strip sack I'm pretty sure.. Quite pathetic.. If I was the GM of this team I'd go out and look for guys to improve this o-line. Don't care what or who it is.. Again Mario Henderson could've done a better job then Clary. I really think we should give Troutman and Dombo a shot, this o-line sucks might as well give it a try. Gaither a guy we signed in the off-season has been non-existent along with Meachem, Royal, who is just a pansy, he left AGAIN with a hamstring issue, no wonder Denver didn't really care to let him go and only 2 teams were interested in him. If Wright was more experienced he'd look better out there, Gilchrist played great as well, Cason sucks, and Bigby needs to have a seat, time to see what Brandon Taylor can do. Bigby ******* sucks, I'll continue to say it, WORST tackler on this team, goes high every tackle and gets bulldozer-ed. Ingram continues to be a non-factor too. Now I'm starting to see why everyone passed him up. 0 sacks in his first 10 games..
Dude. There were 10 seconds on the clock. If he were able to get everyone lined up (incredibly doubtful) and spike the ball before the clock hit 0 (incredibly doubtful), this abominable o-line would have had to protect him long enough for our receivers to get in the endzone (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA) and provide him with a clean enough pocket to actually step into his throw enough to get the ball all the way down the field (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA). The game ended when they let the pass-rusher around end without blocking him at all. If Rivers doesn't fake an injury for the rest of the season, it's because he respects himself and loves the fans. Think about what you're saying before you write it.
Easy there chief. Not like it HAD to be a bomb. Could have been a hook and ladder or anything else. I realize it is a long-shot, but I just didn't see any passion. Just handed the ball to the ref and walked off. When your season is on the line, you should drive for every chance. I know Rivers' o-line has sucked, but a huge part of his problems are on himself too. I'm not insulting anyone that has a differing opinion to my own, try to do the same.
True, but it's not something I'd go out and spend a high draft pick on (not like rookie safeties see a ton of success anyway - aside from the ones who end up going Top 10 on pure athleticism alone). We've been saying it for years. The player himself has even said he's open to the position change. The impetus to Jammer moving to safety has always appeared to be Norv who "just doesn't see him there". Well, after today it's as close to a foregone conclusion as ever to Norv not being the problem anymore because, if there's a God, a Devil, or even a stoned hippie with CBJ's old beard glued to his face that's just really good with sleight of hand, Norv won't be our HC come this next offseason. Let Cason walk (hopefully off a high cliff). Re-sign Jammer on veteran-depth safety money, move him opposite Weddle, and make it an open competion (as it should be considering he'd be new to the position) with Taylor in '13 camp.
I'd like to see what we have in Taylor before drafting another safety, besides this next collection of safeties isn't anything special
You are right, or we can go 5-11, 6-10, 7-9, or 8-8. LOL I got lobster I caught burnin on the grill, so I am now officiaLly signing out.
So should firing Norv, Hunter, etc. If we can somehow manage to salvage the situation under a new coaching staff through adjustments that should have been made under Norv in the first place then I can just pretend that the past two years were different and I simply don't remember them because they were one really long, alcohol-induced blackout.
Hell, sign ME up!! Imagine, the NFL's first female HC being someone whose glory days were way back in high school playing Powder Puff My 5-year-old grandson can take over as OC and my sister can sit in AJ's chair.......between us, we certainly couldn't do any worse than the current bunch. Haha!!
