He sure has helped DET to put together an actual Offense. This years draft class of backs all to me spell short term careers. Im bettin not a one makes it past 7 or 8 seasons. Hope that RM can be one that does last longer but not a guaruntee.

Merriman active, but won't start

Shawne Merriman will come off the bench in his first game of the year.

The Chargers declared safety Darrell Stuckey, cornerback Dante Hughes, linebacker Stephen Cooper, linebacker Brandon Lang, defensive tackle Cam Thomas, tackle Adam Terry, and defensive end Vaughn Martin inactive.

Brandon Siler will start in Cooper's place. Larry English will start for Merriman.

For the Jaguars, safety Anthony Smith, cornerback Derek Cox, returner Scotty McGee, running back, Deji Karim, fullback Brock Bolen, tackle Kevin Haslem, defensive end Austen Lane, and defensive end Aaron Morgan inactive.

Cox appears to be a healthy scratch. He started all of last year.

maybe since sidney rice is hurt,percy harvin is hurt,bernard berrian is old and slow, and shiancoe being the only receiver we might be able to get a first from them
