This is honestly it for me, I'm mailing it in. Not watching the remaining of the year, and don't even try to say I'm not a "diehard" fan.. This is the first time I've done this.. I've been with this team for the highs and lows, but when you have talent like this, and you consistenly lose leads in the 2nd half and make ZERO half time adjustments, it is "your record is what you are" Norv, and your ******* Regular Season record is horrendous for someone who is an offensive genius and you've been a head coach for nearly 15 years and have a cowardly 4-4 post season record, **** the coach he just got beat by has only been coaching for 4 years and has a 5-4 record int he playoffs including two divisional games.. and oh yeah, John Harbaugh was a ST's coach before he was a Head Coach..
When you have to hold seven in to block on passing downs and you still give up 6 sacks you can't win.
I don't know how or even if its possible for there to be more nails in the coffin but if Norv Turner is not fired after the last game of the season then Dean Spanos will face a revolt of 50% of his fan base. I'll even seriously consider that I will stop watching the Chargers on TV or bother with games.
It makes it tough to continue watching when you feel like there is no hope. In my 40 plus years of being a Charger fan I've seen plenty of this type play.
Well...this season, the post-season is what happens to somebody else. I'd say let Norv and AJ finish the season. Why? you ask... two reasons: 1. We have more coordinators, college coaches and assistant GM's to choose from to fill the two vacancies that we will have at head coach and GM. 2. Our current crew is positioning us well for the 2013 draft, that will be handled by someone other than AJ. For those that didn't see the game, the defense played their tails off...but sadly, once again we brought a pillow to a gun fight. Here's hoping we get a better result against the Bengals next week!
I guess if they survived to yesterday they were always gona survive that debacle. They shoulda been canned weeks ago. I guess what 'they' are saying might be true ie. Deano will wait until season end as in when the 16th game is played. After all the season ended ages ago imho.
I agree that getting rid of Philip is not the answer. I get the emotion driving the comment though. I did see him throwing the ball away more yesterday than making stupid passes to the D. That alone shows that given a better line he will recover from his bout of limber-tailitus in the pocket.
