I think Eric Smith or Sean Considine are upgrades because, while they miss, they at least attempt to wrap their man. I'm willing to give Taylor the benefit of the doubt, mostly because this year's safety class is like this year's TE class - no one really blows my skirt up as opposed to other positions. Sign a journeyman vet with actual technique and a sound health track record (akin to the Aubrayo Franklin of safeties, whoever that may be), and let him and Taylor battle it out in camp. Either that or move Gilchrist or Jammer back there. Safety, especially when you already have one really great one on your team, is kind of a luxury position. But that said, I'd just as soon wait until there's a deep enough class that 1st round caliber talent gets pushed to the 2nd round (see 2009), and address the long-term solution for the position there.
