I just had a mental image of that

I understand the frustration - you should hear me cursing like a sailor at home

Just so totally over the whole "we suck we're screwed ahhhhh!" mentality when we don't win convincingly enough for some. And, it's not just you or anyone here in particular... but I listen to sports talk radio 8-9hours a day at work, unable to call in and listening to some of the most ridiculous bandwagon dipshits crying over every little thing... that's just where I'm coming from, and honestly I'm sorry if I end up taking out a little bit of that frustration on you here :icon_toast:

I totally agree - no need to get overconfident or cocky at all - the next few weeks are critical and they must play better on defense than we saw today. I just think we can and we will... that's all :)

A win is a win. Both teams tested their depth and we came out on top. We rested some and some had injuries. This is the NFL and we had the depth and they didn't. We won with guys off the practice squad.

Careful there Syd, that middle one might cause a raised eyebrow or two given next week's opponent.

Change to "Go Clark" and we're fine. Carry on.

I agree...we just did not beat their best as you indicated. They had players from their practice squad too according to the broadcasters. I will take the win, and hope for a healthy squad next week!

I want to see more Runyan next week.

We rested people who would have played if we were playing a contender. We had a practice squad guy in the secondary and we played the entire roster in the game. Scored a long TD with an admittedly marginal roster guy.

Norval played these guys for what they were. We use our roster down to the practice squad and won. Buck up. You're holding our mud. We won. That's all that counts.

Not pretty on defense, but a win in the end. Teams that have nothing to lose are the most dangerous to play.

The very same folks that whine and cry about getting no respect from the National media. Are the same few that complain that the Bolt's don't play perfect football.:icon_shrug:

I don't care if we are completely ignored by the media.

Flying under the radar is our best weapon right now.

True. And we saw some of the same thing today. The Browns looked really loose and just let it flow.

Next week we'll earn some more respect and some outright fear when we rip the Cowboys a new one.

Wow ... this thread read like the meeting notes from a bipolar disorder support group.

As Leo so subtly suggested, 9-3.

We won, unlike New England, Pittsburgh, Houston ....

New Orleans barely beat the 'Skins - but still undefeated.

You getting my drift? Sorry for those who lost to the spread - so did I (vBookie only). If you lost real money on the game, too bad. Here's a tip - don't bet on your team.

Next week, Romo, Witten, & Austin get schooled by Rivers, Gates, & Jackson. :abq2:

Whoever said that the Pittsburgh v Oakland game didn't matter .... would you rather face J'ville or Pittsburgh?

I'd rather face Pittsburgh, they are reeling, unlike earlier in the season when they put 38 on us.

We still don't match up well with Pittsburgh, reeling or not. I'll take a Jacksonville or Miami over Pitt or Baltimore.

I would take the Patriots, or Pittsburgh. I know we could beat them at home. Neither team is as tough as they used to be. Jax could be that team that upsets us. I feel confident against the bigger "name" teams (Pats, Steelers, Colts), than Jax or Denver again.

You know, nobody, and I mean nobody really gave the 4th quarter meltdown on defense a 2nd thought. Not the coaches, online media, the tv media. They all dismissed it as no big deal after that 27-7 lead with 10 minutes to go in the 4th. It was really never talked about other than Kevin Accee's post game video, but he kind of dismissed it as well, considering 3 starters on D were out, and 2nd and 3rd string played alot in the 4th.

Everyone monday is talking up the Bolts on tv. I guess if the rest of the world isn't too concerned about it, then I might as well also.
But we damn near came close to blowing it in the 4th. No way we could do that against the Cowboys, or Bengals. As bad as Brady Quinn is, he should have had 2 INT's, and been sacked at least 5 times by our defense. I'm more worried about the Tennessee and Washington game then the Dallas and Cincinnati games. We might just coast on the final 2 games on defense and lose our edge.

That being said... On to beating Dallas this week (I hope)
