Chargers vs Chiefs thread 11/29....

The Bolts play the Chiefs at home with the Bolts coming off a 5 game winning streak, and the Chiefs coming off a OT win against Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh beats San Diego and Minnesota, but yet loses to the Chiefs :icon_huh:.

The Chiefs have had some great production at WR from ex-Charger Chris Chambers who is playing for a new contract next year. I don't think we will beat them 37-7 again, but we should win this with a new found Running attack surging at just the right time.

Careful of this being a trap game. Chiefs are playing pretty well. Need complete efforts by all 3 units as we've seen the past couple of weeks.

Not just Hali, Derrick Johnson had two sacks (one got called back, for another players actions, that was one of the best sacks I have ever seen. He literally jumped and tackled Rothlisberger and Mewelde Moore at the same time like friggin superman)

I also wouldnt sleep on Andy Studabaker. He had a sack and two interceptions against Pitt. With Vrabel getting nicked up a couple weeks ago, Andy has flourished with increased time on the field, he wears #96 and will make a couple plays sunday.

I can say you guys are lucky we are missing Bowe, he might have made a big difference.

BC, I watched the whole game & thoroughly enjoyed it. Wifey & I were both hootin' & hollerin' for Andy - what a game he had!

I like KC just fine except for (at least) 2X a year.

We're shooting for Arrowhead next year.

Yeah, I've never had that much of a problem with KC. They have a class organization and their fans are some of the best. If you have not made it to Arrowhead for a game it's a must. Went in '94 when Humphries and the Bolts beat Montana and the Chiefs 14-13 in the rain. Great game, great stadium, great atmosphere. And KC is just a cool town with great BBQ.

I think maybe a "let down" game would be a better phrase.

Guys will have a harder time getting up for a game this week after such a big win and coming all the way back from the dead.

I hope you're right. I think Haley has his grasp on these guys and they are starting to show all the hard work and trials he has put them all through. Chambers has been a absolute beast, I wonder who will get the best of who in his matchups sunday...should make things interesting.

No disrespect, but I doubt you guys get the running game going early. I can see some big throws to Gates early, though.

The Chefs are goana play us tough for sure this game coming off a hot win against pissburg. But i see our team prevailing anyways Becuase we have Rivers and LT is kicking into gear. I am also confident we can stop Cassel and Chambers.

I think we'll take this one no problem. The Chefs are getting better, and putting together some good wins, but can we be honest about KC beating PIT???

I mean, Big Ben threw so many bad passes... too high, too low.

The few passes that he did get on target, were dropped. I think Sweed dropped one, Ward dropped a couple.

The Steelers have one of the worst special teams in the league, without the kick return for TD in the beginning, KC loses that game.

I think we'll be fine. I know that they still need to focus, execute, and not look past the Chefs, but still... I personally don't see this game as any kind of a threat.

We've had some big wins in the past few weeks and I just hope our boy's just keep the gas mashed to the floor and keep on going.

I actually think next week's game is more likely to be the trap game. This week, the Bolts are extra-focused because of all the potential distractions (Thanksgiving, etc.). The 50 greatest being here will get the current team really excited. I expect Dan and the boys will have a few words for the guys. Also, the fact that we are playing a division rival means these guys will be ready for a battle.

Since the Broncos beat the Giants, we can't lose the KC game, and just assume it will be another 37-7 romp. Norv better have the team ready. The Broncos may have got out of their funk with the 26-6 win over the Giants.

We need to win this one, but we need to win them one at a time. Every game is important for one reason or another or for multiple reasons. Thing is, they are really all winable, that being said, they are all loseable too. But I gotta say, I LOVE our chances, the team is solid and they are fearce.

I can't bring myself to believe in the so called "trap" game. As far back as i can remember, we have lost in these type of games. It seems that all of our previous team's would just get the heck beat out of them.

I don't think we have a winning record within our division over all. I tend to think it lie's more with team leadership on the field than it does the other team. In the past I can recall our QB's having some bad games when it mattered most. Just look back at the playoff game against Houston, who were without their starting QB, RB and WR'er. Five Pick's that day and it was done. Trap no, just bad play.
