I think our problem in the running game is PREDICTABILITY!!! If I can see it coming, then I'm sure the guys that get paid big bucks can see it
I agree with that, and I do think that there's is a lack of creativity in the run game. But, Goff has been exposed in his pass blocking as well. He's getting shoved on his *** by defensive tackles, and pressure up the middle is the worst kind for quarterbacks.
We won. Shoulda, coulda, woulda. Get with the project folks; last I checked we're still in the thick of things.
IMHO, he made the only call he could; he couldn't take a chance on the Chargers winning the toss in OT. But that's jes me.
I don't know what's worse, those idiotic Bud Light commercials or these Geico commercials with the fake Australian accent that really grinds my gears. I think I have to give the edge to Bud Light, though, because it takes real planning to make a beer commercial suck balls.
That commercial to me: Light beer sucks and you only drink it if you have to but Bud Light sucks the least so you should drink it. (which is of course untrue.)
A little late with my game comments (just got home about an hour ago), but a W is a W. Thing is, when you put up 400 yards of offense on a 1-7 (now 1-8) team, you should win. Next up Pittsburgh & they're FAR from perfect. Big Ben has been banged around every week because of a weak o-line. If there was ever a time for our defense to prove themselves, next week is it.
Not for nuttin but they weren't too far behind from putting up 400 themselves. In regards to being FAR from perfect, that must be their offense because they have the number one ranked defense and our offense is totally lost. We are no longer a well running machine on offense. Between Rivers red zone turnovers and our inability to put 7 on the board and settling of 3 instead.....well this is going to be a long 2nd half of the year.
This one went in our left-hand column. That's the bottom line. The right side of our OL needs help. They aren't opening holes for LT. I think that our D will get better. Cro is hurt, Dobbins is just getting his reps, we miss Merriman. You'll start to see more blitz packages including the DBs next week in Pittsburgh. While it wasn't a pretty win, it was a win & brings some confidence with it for the players.
