(prediction thread) Bye bye Igor. C-ya Matt. Don't let the door it your *** on the way out Mike. Please take Cletis and Clinton with you. Thanks.
A lot of guys are up for new contracts pretty soon. If we don't keep our top playmakers, we're going to regress.
Willhelm is in trouble. I am worried that AJ is not yet talking to Merriman. Gordon and Hart are see-ya...
As in right now, or after NEXT season? Right now, I know for sure Igor, Goff, Sproles, and a few other no namers
on the FA list we absolutely have to keep Sproles and Dobbins really needs to be signed too......All the rest can hit the road...Goff is done...Clary NEVER should have been a starting RT and only was because he replaced fat *** bi polar Olivea who was a turd also...I hope Wilhelm finds a nice home with the Raiders so he can be with others of his ilk who can't tackle and get trucked by runningbacks.
Hasta Luego......... 1. Clinton Hart, nice guy and all but he sure has NO place on a football field. 2. Mike Goff, back to cookery school. 3. Matt Whiffhelm, maybe Cleveland will take u off our hands so u can go 'home'. 4. Kynan Forney, why the F did we bring u in again?. Jeeeeeeez. 5. Marques Harris, the invisible man the last few weeks is about to disappear for good. 6. Igor Olshansky, nice knowing ya, but u sure are pretty much useless. Cletis Gordon might get one more chance but he sure as hell didn't help himself tonight. Cason should have replaced Jammer and Cletis to nickel. Oh and I forgot Jeromey Clary. He probably gets another shot. Reason being if he can keep Shelton off the field he must be doing something right. Perhaps they try him at RG and draft an OT to play RT at pick 16.
Hart, I agree. See what Paul Oliver can do Goff - thanks for your service but yeah time to go Wilhelm - I'd send him to football hell (Detroit) Forney - refused a two year deal so yeah he's gone Igor - my boy but you didn't do jack this year, sorry Clary - back to being a backup, no way you start anymore Gordon - idk, probably keep him
your probably talking about the kickoff he did today after the 15 yards were assessed by some stupid penalty that they hit VJ on his touchdown. SCI-FI was in at kickoff because nate wouldnt have even hit the 20 from there.
crow can take a walk as far as i'm concerned. did you see him on that td right before the half? disgusting...
He will be a lot more like the 07 version next year. I will be shocked if he doesn't record 6 or more interceptions.
I wasn't referring specifically to the injury, though that was part of it. I think a little of it was he thought he had it all figured out, and let his technique slide. That won't happen again. I don't know why his dedication to winning should be questioned. Because he doesn't hit as hard as Jammer? The guy's role on the D is to create turnovers and make things interesting on the return. He failed miserably at that this year, but that doesn't mean he isn't dedicated to winning.
Sure keep him. He should be pretty cheap since he is an exclusive rights free agent. He knows our system. I wouldn't plan on him starting, but I'd feel more comfortable with him starting for a few weeks if necessary rather than some scrub off the street.
If I were to choose, I would keep both through next year, and then if the only way to keep Merriman was to get rid of LT, I would do that. (Assuming of course that Merriman returns to form).
his role includes not only creating turnovers but supporting the run and defense in general. and yes he needs to stick his head in there and make a hit every now and again. it sure seemed like in the later part of the year teams were going to his side 'cause they knew he's not gonna come up and make a play. he's so athletic if he had the mindset of not only a coverage guy but a run stopper he could be an all time great. right now he's just a guy, and frankly i think cason should be starting ahead of him.
Aside from whether or not you could do that (which you couldn't, those kind of deals happen in the NBA, not the NFL). Why would you trade two productive players. One coming into his prime (and apparently makes the defense work). And the other still serving a prominent role on the team and can still be a star when healthy (should be looking for his replacement). Keep LT, but sprinkle in more Sproles, even if LT is 100% healthy. Get a legitimate backup plan/successor for LT. Keep Merriman and watch the D come back into form. This is what I hope for as far as those two players are concerned.
Deion didn't do that, and I don't think anyone would get rid of him. There were a lot of those comparisons last year. His tackling has actually improved a LOT this year over last (probably because his weaker pass defense has given him more opportunities).
for a game or two after he was being labeled dion #2. it really looked like he doesn't like hitting in the cold to be honest. therefore his dedication to winning is questionable IMO.
